It's not true

It was strange for Oscar to go to the drivers parade alone. He was not alone, he had Sophie with him and a security guard. But he went without Lando who always walks with him.

McLaren just put out the statement that the photo is fake. Oscar has already reposted it and so has Lando. He will probably be asked about it at the drivers meeting. He can walk away, but if it's just about the statement he can say something.

He walks into the room where all the drivers have to gather. The camera immediately turns to him and he ignores it and continues walking to Logan who is standing with Alex and George. He hands everyone a box and turns to Logan.

"They have now released a statement?" "Yes, it is now known that the photo was not real." Oscar says a little softer because of the microphone hanging above them. Logan looks up and then at the camera man and then looks at Oscar.

Logan starts talking about something completely different and eventually the man leaves to join another group.

"Sorry about this weekend." George says first and Oscar looks at them. "What?" "Well I noticed that I didn't talk to you because I also thought it was real. I felt very sorry for Max and Charles. But I never went to you to hear your story or to ultimately support you." "Yes, I want to join that." says Alex. "A few days ago with the fan zone, I could have helped too. I didn't do anything and I'm sorry for that " "Thank you for the apology, but there is someone who deserves it more than me. He is one of your best friends and he needed you the most this week. No one called him, no one supported him. Everyone walked past him while he was a running help board. Everyone ignored that. So you don't have to apologize to me. I'm thankful that you do, but I don't think it is for me. At least I had someone who helped me through this week." says Oscar.

He had gotten angry about this several times. And now they were saying sorry to him while they have to say it to Lando.

He deserves this apology much more.

He had Logan. Logan and his entire family stood behind him and helped him.

"You're right." George says and Oscar just nods.

Then someone shouts that they can get on the truck and he walks away. Logan follows behind him.

"Strong of you. They deserved that." he says as they walk up the stairs. Oscar smiles weakly and they stand somewhere in the middle near the railing.

"Will you stay with me this week?" Oscar asks and Logan smiles. "Please. I think we both need time together and alone together and we also have to look for the last things for our house." he says and Oscar smiles and nods. "Our house. I love the sound of that."

"Hey." they both look up. "Hey." Oscar says to Max and Charles who joins them. "It's official, it's not real." Charles says and Oscar nods. "Last night we contacted a woman who did this. She did it as a joke, but it got completely out of hand. This was not her intention." explains Oscar. "Did she make it with AI?" Max asks and Oscar nods again. "Yes, exactly as we thought. We also decided to put it online now and we hope it will only be talked about today and only about racing next weekend." "That would be nice, yes." says Charles.

"How is Lando doing? We read the statement this morning. He is not allowed to participate in anything?" "Some things were possible, but it's too dangerous. They are scared something will happen, even with all the security. That's why he couldn't make the decision himself, otherwise he would have been here." "That's for sure." Logan says. "But he has to be with the national anthem, but there are all kinds of security guards around him. No one could come near him. I even think drivers are not allowed to come near him." "I'm glad they're protecting him." Charles says and everyone nods.
