                  AUTHOR'S POV
                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ughhhh"...
The annoying ring of the alarm broke her sleep. Still in her half asleep state, she tried to stop the alarm and succeeded after two attempts.
"Break it...it's too early." Roshni cried covering her ears with the pillow.
Sitara looked at her and sighed before laying down on her bed. She closed her eyes and tried to complete her dream where she was attending her graduation ceremony.
She annoyingly threw away the bedsheet covering her body. Even in the cooler, she was sweating.
After failed attempt of trying to sleep again, she sat on the bed.
Her phone rang making a smile appear on her face.
"Uth gayi beta?" The sweet voice of her mother greeted her.
(You woke up, child?)
"Haa, Maa. Aap kaise hain aur bapa?" She asked.
(Yes, Maa. How are you and father?)
"We are good here. Did you sleep well last night? Everything is fine there, right?" Her mother asked everything in a single breath.
Sitara chuckled knowing her mother very well.
"Maa, take a deep breath. Everything is fine here and I slept peacefully as well."
She heard a huge sigh of relief from the other end.
"Where is baba?"
"He went to the farm early and left his phone here. This careless man!" Her mother complained.
"He is like that only." Sitara chuckled.
"I am going to prepare breakfast now. You get ready and video call me, okay?"
"Okay, Maa." With that, she hung up.
Her gaze went towards the window, she could see and feel the heat and the brightness of the burning sun through the curtains only.
"40 degree?" She muttered shockingly after opening the weather app.
She missed two classes as she got a bit late in the admission process.
Gathering her hair into a bun, she entered the washroom to do her morning routine.
.
.
Sitara was shocked seeing Roshni sleeping like a dead girl. It was nine in the morning and she took a bath as well and this girl was still sleeping.
"My roommate is a loath?" She wondered.
"Roshni, get up. It's breakfast time."
The girl finally woke up after Sitara shook her. Roshni looked at Sitara with drool still on her mouth and eyes half closed.
"Wh-ho ar-re you?" She asked absent mindedly.
Sitara rolled her eyes and shoo her head. What a great way to start the morning.
"Sitara. Your roommate, remember?" She faked a sweet tone.
Roshni kept looking at her for few seconds and then rubbed the sleep off her eyes.
"Ohhh...Sitara." She smiled finally recognising her.
Sitara gave her a tight lipped smile and entered the balcony to dry her damp hair. The tiled floor burnt her feet as soon she entered the balcony. The sun was already shining brightly and she could barely see anyone on the playground or in the hostel campus.
