The continuous bickering of his parents made his appetite die. He was already in no mood to eat and now, he just wanted to throw his plate away and lock himself inside his room.

"You always do this..." Lata complained glaring at her husband who was avoiding meeting her eyes.

"Maa, eat your food. You guys always bring your arguments over the dinning table." Rohit stated clearly annoyed by the behaviour of his parents.

Veer wiped his mouth after completing his meal and glanced at Ekaksh, who was staring at his plate, the contents in his plate untouched and cold. He frowned looking at his wife, who happened to notice it the same time.

"Ekaksh.." he flinched slightly hearing his mother's voice. "Why are you not eating?" She asked in a concerned tone.

He sighed looking at his plate and realised he hadn't touched even a single thing till now.

"I...I am not hungry." He replied in a tired voice.

Lata frowned knowing very well something is bothering her son. She decided to stay quite in front of Veer and ask Ekaksh later.

"Why?" Veer questioned sternly.

Ekaksh rolled his eyes. He was already frustrated and answering his father's queries was not even the last thing in his mind. If anything, it would add fuel to his anger and he didn't want that.

"Mann nahi ho raha." He said getting off from his chair.

(I don't want to)

"Meri baat khatam nahi hui hai abhi.." His voice stopped him abruptly.

(I am not done, yet.)

Ekaksh turned around to face him with a stern expression. Veer also got off from his chair and walked towards him. Lata and Rohit sensed the tension in the air and gave each other a knowing look.

"Boliye. Kya kehna hai aapko?" Ekaksh asked clearly disinterested in whatever he was about to say.

(What do you want to say?)

"Your college has almost ended. Accompany me to the office, tomorrow." Veer said glancing at his wife for approval, who nodded in return.

Ekaksh wanted to deny but then decided otherwise. Maybe, being busy in work will help him forget about her

"Okay." With that, he started climbing the stairs, not bothering to hear what else his father wanted to say.

Veer gritted not liking his attitude but stayed quiet for the sake of his wife. She has asked him to talk nicely to their son, to spend time with him and to understand him but this attitude of his shows how tough this is going to be.

Lata held his hand, squeezing it gently and offered a sweet smile to him. He found himself getting lost in those brown pair of orbs, the same orbs their sons have.

"Thank you." She muttered, feeling relieved that he swallowed his anger and didn't say anything to him.

"Don't say it..." he leaned closer and then whispered in her ears, "...show it in our bedroom." Lata's eyes widened hearing his words.

She hit his arm glaring at him and then looked at Rohit who was busy eating.

Veer chuckled pressing a kiss to her forehead...
