Melissa's POV**

I swallow my food and look up at her to see if she's being serious. "You want your own apartment?" I ask slowly.

"Um yeah. I think it's time I stop mourning over my parents and start getting back on track."

"But where would you live? What about school? Your job?". I wonder what spurred this request. I think to myself.

"Well my friend told me he knows an apartment complex about an hour from here and there's some schools near there as well."

"But what about college Sage."

"Well the plus side is I already got accepted into Nashville university. The apartments are right outside the campus and I've got plenty of money saved up. I'll get to meet new people and I could get different job if I have to." She replies.

"You sure you wanna do this? I mean living alone is a big step and a load of responsibility."

"Yes Mel. You sound like I imagine my mother sounding." She laughs rolling her eyes and taking a bite of her pizza.

"Seems like you've got it all planned out huh?" I smile. I'm shocked because we hardly ever talk about her parents, let alone joke about them.

"Well kinda but there's still a lot to do."

"You're right about that. How about you do your research on the school and apartment and if everything runs smoothly, maybe you'll be in your brand new comfy crib by next week."

"Really? You're okay with that?" She asks obviously shocked.

"Well duh. I didn't expect you to stay forever." I laugh

"Well I'm gonna hit the hay. See you in the morning Mel."

"Night hoe."

"Night slut."

I am a little upset that my best friend would be moving, but I am also happy for her. After these past two years I claimed Sage as the sister I never had. She's been a total introvert since her parents passed and I know that this is just what she needs to get her back to her extroverted self. Now that I've found my gorgeous god of a mate, I know I'll always have company.

Now the only thing left is that she needs to know what she is. But the only hard part is do I tell her? or do I let her figure it out herself? I decide I'm not gonna dwell on the situation and stare at the wall, bored. I pull out my phone and dial Travis' number. The phone rings twice before he answers.

"Hello?" He asks.

"Hey um this is Melissa."

"Mel? Hey is everything okay? are you hurt?" He asks nervously.

"No I'm fine, just a lot on my mind right now."

"Want to come over and talk about it?"

"Yeah sure text me the address."

After about twenty minutes of driving, I pull up to Travis' home and knock on the door. I look around his yard as I wait for him to open the door and I must say he has a fantastic house. All too soon Travis opens the door and invites me in.

"This is my home, feel free to look around while I go to the kitchen and grab us some drinks".

I nod to him and look around the inside and I'm immediately impressed. His home is very comfy and clean, it's modern but still has a homey atmosphere. I look at his photos on the wall as I walk down a hallway that I'm assuming leads to the kitchen. I walk inside and see Travis grabbing different snacks and drinks.
