04. Didn't get it with style

"I clearly said, 'I got it.'"

Everbody heard me say, 'I got it!'" Yelled Raph.

"Yeah, but I got it with style." Leo says, shrugging and strutting away with his hands behind his head.

"But you didnt get it! You lost it, and now we've got a Foot Clan situation, Leo." Raph adds.

Leo enters his room and trosses his katanas by his bed and removes his socks. He lays down on his bed and pulls out a Jupiter Jim cpmic, specifically super collector's edition 1000. Raph enters Leo's room, crossing his arms and glaring at leo.

"What's it gonna take for you to be serious, Leo?"

"And end up with a worry line between my eyes like you?" The turtle remarks. "No, no, no. I do not want a Raph chasm.'

"C-chasm?"

"You know, valley, gorge, crevasse."

Raph shakes off his brothers taunting.

"The only reason I have a chasm is because I have to worry about you bozos twenty-four-seven. You just dont get it, Leo. I'm the oldest here. I'm responsible for keeping us safe and making sure we can handle anything that comes our way. 'Cause if I don't, we could all end up dead."

But Leo wasn't interested in the possability of dying or losing, and chose to ignore Raph.

"Sorry, I missed that. could you repeat everything from.. well, everything?"

Donnie, Mikey and Heidi, who were eavesdropping on the conversation in Leo's room, just dodeg Raphs energy construct as it bursts through the train car wall making up Leo's room. Leo backflips out of the train car.

"No wonder you always want to train. you really need the practice." leo taunts his brother, getting into a fighting stance.

Mikey attempts to bar Leo as Raph exits Leo's room, loading his fists as his energy construct hands appear.

"ley him go, Mikey." Raph tells him.

Donnie attempts to restrain Raph, getting onto his back.

Heidi jumps into the middle space between the chaos and puts both hands out to try ans stop them from getting closer, Not choosing to use her powers out of some fear that she might hurt them or make things worse.

The two siblings ruch towards eachother but before they could fight, Splinters voice stops the fighting.

'Boys! Stop this arguing."

"But Dad, Leo keeps-" Raph tries to argue but Splinter stops him once again.

"Buh-buh-buh-buh-buh. No more. You are a team. You are brothers. And most importantly... you are too loud! I cannot hear my TV show! Tristan finally proposed to Annabelle but did she say yes? I don't know because of you!"

Heidi gasps, she actually enjoyed the show herself. "Shoot..." Leo chuckles at her. he thought she was cute when she got a little disapointed because it doesnt happen often.

She usually always smiled and kept herself calm and happy all the time so people wouldn't worry about her, But Leo saw right through her. It takes one to know one.

"I Know! Be the ninjas I taught you to be, respectful. And quiet!" Splinter exits, leaving the teenagers to themselves. Leo and raph glare at eachother and go their seperate ways.

Heidi followed Leo and tapped him on the shell. "What was that?" she asked.

"Raph being ann-"

"No. You. Why didnt you listen to anyone?"

"What? Why is that my fault?" he asks.

"It's not, but you need to listen to your team first before you run off into situations, if you keep runnign of trying to play the solo protagonist its going to get you hurt. I dont want you to get hurt." She explains.

Now the two are standing face to face.

"I-" Leo doesnt know how to answer her. he sighs and looks down, rubbing the back on his neck but he stops when heidi put a gentle hand on his shoulder. He looks at the small and almost unnoticable scars on her hand. He only knows they're there because he pays close attention to her, He's memorized almost everything about her.

"I dont need to lose another friend... okay? I Can't, I just can't do it again..." She tells him, almost coming to tears at the memory of all the people she blamed herself for losing.

Leo looks up at her and puts a hand on her shoulder. He nods at her and she smiles back at him, embracing him quickly after.

He looks down at her and hugs her back, seceretly taking in her scent. He loved everything about her.

He just didn't tell her that yet.
