Watching my brother play in the FA cup, even if it was only the semi-finals, made me happier than ever. Waiting in the seats closest to the pitch as I could get.
It was a tense game, 0-0 and approaching full time when Bernardo Silva sent the ball into the back of the net.
I screamed out of joy and delight. One goal would be enough to send them to the final... and surely enough they won the game.
1-0
When the whistle blew for full time, I wasted no time making my way onto the pitch to congratulate with my brother and his team. I could always spot my brother amongst the crowds of people. He was short in height and usually lacked a lot of hair.
"Y/n!" Phil shouted out to me, his little sister as he ran to greet me. He picked me up and spun me around.
"Phil you were amazing!" I was overjoyed at the win even if it was a narrow one. In the distance, I could spot Chelsea players absolutely devastated at the outcome and the missed opportunity to make it to the final. There was one player that caught my eye in particular, but before I could look further my brother interrupted.
"Y/n are you listening?"
"Yea sorry" I apologised, but before Phil could continue a pair of arms wrapped around her legs. "Ronnie!" She looked down to see the gorgeous face of her nephew Ronnie, beaming up at her.
"Daddy won!" He was just as happy as she was. Y/n scooped him up and held him at her waist.
"Daddy did win! And Daddy is going to play at the huge final!" she gently swung him around. In the near distance she could see players from the two teams shake hands and begin to move off the pitch. There was one player that caught her attention though... again.
She hadn't seen him or spoken to him in months. He'd had a huge argument with her brother just before transferred to Chelsea nearly half a year ago.
And there he was, wearing the number 20.
"What are you looking at?" Phil asked, out of concern as to what Y/n was distracted at.
"Nothing" she stopped watching him and turned her attention back to Ronnie. "How about we go back to mummy? Daddy needs to go finish up and then we can all celebrate!" She placed Ronnie down, who immediately ran towards Erling Haaland - who welcomed him with a warm embrace. Without saying another word, Phil walked off towards the tunnel.

Later that evening, there was a small party to celebrate reaching the finals. Phil had asked his fellow England team mate, Harry Kane, if he and his family could stay over at his house for the game whilst he was in Germany but failed to mention his intentions to throw a party.
It was a huge mansion located in the outskirts of London. There was a huge pool in the back garden with a hot tub and an outdoor bar. The team wasted no time in raiding the beer, whilst the girlfriends gossiped in the hot tub. The children were all playing inside as Y/n watched over them.
"Bollocks" Kyle Walker walked into the kitchen ,that opened out into the garden, from the bathroom. Y/n glared at him.
"There are children here you know" she reminded him.
"Oh shit... fuck... wait" the man was clearly drunk but Y/n gently laughed. "Well... the big man's ringing me"
"The big man?" Y/n was confused. "Guardiola?"
"Ha no" Kyle laughed. "Big man Kane"
"Ahh... Phil forgot to mention he planned to do this" Y/n informed him.
"Well he knows" Kyle answered the phone. "Hazza-"
"Pass the phone to Phil" Harry was understandably pissed.
"Phil's..." Kyle wasn't sure how to reply.
"Raiding my bar?" Harry finished the sentence for him. He walked outside and handed the phone to Phil.
Y/n turned back to the children who were half asleep. Ronnie and one of Debruynes children were watching something on an iPad. It was incredibly boring.
After a while, Phil walked into the living room.
"How was Harry?" Y/n asked when she saw him and he smiled.
"Well there isn't much he can do if he's a 2 hour flight away is there"
"You could've told him I'm sure he would've been ok with it"
"He was ok with it"
"Really?" She wasn't convinced but he changed the topic.
"Who were you looking at earlier?" He took a seat on the couch.
"No one" she lied.
"Don't lie Y/n" he looked at her in the eyes. "Who was it?"
"I zoned out-"
"Was it him?" He asked.
"Was it who?"
"Don't" he snapped. "You know exactly who I'm talking about" Y/n stayed silent, there was no use continuing to act confused but she didn't want to admit it.
"I know you two don't like one anoth-"
"Damn right we don't" he raised his voice. "You don't understand"
"Yea maybe I don't understand! You never told me!" Y/n could feel tears forming in her eyes and her voice was getting emotional. She grabbed her phone and ran out of the house as fast as she could, grabbing her shoes on the way out.
Fortunately she had brought her car with her and she was able to drive away back to her hotel. Once she was in the car park, she stopped and let herself cry. Phil was right.
She didn't understand.
