Cole Palmer POV
Silva scored towards the end of the match to give City the win.
When the whistle blew for full time, I walked towards the stand with the Chelsea fans to show my gratitude before walking off the pitch. The majority of fans had got up and left when the goal went in and I couldn't blame them.
On my way towards the tunnel, I caught a glimpse of two people in the distance - Phil and Y/n Foden. Phil did not look happy with her and Y/n looked better than ever.

August 2023"Transfer ✅"
The message from my agent came through confirming his transfer to Chelsea in the following weeks.
Looking up from his phone, I was surrounded by my fellow team mates. It was a pre-season party with every player and their families and friends. We sat together in Kevin Debruynes garden, children playing and the wife's in the hot tub. Music blasting in the background whilst everyone talked.
"I think we can do it again this season" Jack Grealish could be heard telling Phil Foden.
"Really?" Phil responded, sat beside me. I watched my phone anxiously - how long could the transfer news stay quiet?
"Me too" Joao Cancelo chimed in, walking over from playing with the children for a quick drink. "Im with Jack - I think we could do it again"
"I never said we couldn't" Phil shrugged and glanced at me. "What's up with you?"
"Nothing" I lied.
"Come on mate" Jack flung a Pringle at me.
"It's nothing" I got up and walked into the house.

Later that evening, I lay in my bed in the hotel and scrolled through Instagram. I had a girl lay asleep beside me, some girl named Mia... Maya... Mae? I didn't care, I just needed someone.
A familiar username came up in my feed
YnFoden Celebrating the win with my girls 💙🏆
My heart quickened when I saw her. She was... even more stunning. I could feel my cheeks begin to flush but I was interrupted when the girl beside me shifted in her sleep - her hand touching my chest.
