Y/n was talented in many things. Trained in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, highly educated in code, multilingual: English, Japanese, Dutch, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, etc., gifted in an array of art mediums, and many more skills that persuaded Sato to hire Y/n L/n. Well, in all technicalities, not Kenji Sato specifically...
Resentment is a powerful emotion humans are capable of. The deep-rooted sense of injustice troubled young Kenji. Y/n was trained to maintain a stable relationship with the boy. His negative behavior came through around his teenage adolescence period and Hayao made sure to input his beliefs regarding the cracking connection between him and his son in a pleasant interview with Miss. L/n. Through the young woman, not only artificial intelligence will keep his son company, but a living, breathing, emotional human will have healthy conversations with him.
It's enough to know that Kenji had friendly associations.
Y/n was sent to L.A. to take his son's assistant interview. He entrusted her to never tell a soul she was hired to spy on Kenji. To never reveal to his son that she was just another one of Sato's savvy robots. Luckily, Y/n left out one thing in her resume; she is a master of deception.
Whilst Ken was stuck in an interview with Ami Wakita, his phone fortunately rang, interrupting the frigid silence the second Wakita's daughter left the room. "Girlfriend?" Ami's features contorted into a foxy grin.
"Assistant." He muttered.
"So... wife." She blinked, raising a brow.
Ken only scoffed, picking it up. "I'm in the middle of an interview, what's up?" His eyes drifted from his noodles up to the reporter. The snarky, superficial smile idol on her face felt like being held at gunpoint. "Make it quick..."
"Your chocolate fudge ice cream is in the freezer prepped with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I hid three fizzy's and a chocolate shake behind a couple of coconut drinks in the mini-fridge, you'll find it." She watched as Mina made trips back and forth, replacing his fancy fizzy drinks with healthy ones in his little compartments. "Just... eat it in the bathroom."
Ami witnessing Kenji Sato's lips drawing wider as his eyes glistened with a genuine adoring sparkle was as rare as spotting a giant salamander in the wild. No camera could ever pick up this kind of passion. She leaned back in her chair studying Ken's whole soul being sucked into the conversation with his assistant.
Prior to his arrival, she spent at least half an hour scrolling and reading through the hottest articles pertaining to their relationship. If you could even call it that. A few key phrases she picked up were; secret lovechild, elopement, and the sailing ship of sports drama.
"Oh? No, come on, please? It's just one night..." His elbow found its way to the table, resting his cheek against his palm. Consider it rude, but Ken was far too hyper-focused on the woman through the phone. "Alright!" He pumped his fist. "Tell Mina to set up the guest—or yeah, you can do it yourself, yeah, no that's fine."
