I mentally sigh. Middle school. Why is it so boring, can't we do more fun things. All I get I useless knowledge and bullying.

"heyyy" my best friend Gabi when over to me her ginger hair in a bun with a paint brush in her hair. "hey" I replied almost dryly.

"you know we got a new girl today" she winks at me making me roll my eyes "you're straight, why do you care ?" I look at her deadpan.

She leans over my table. "I'm talkin' about you girllll your gonna need to crush on someone else than Billie Eilish soon enough," I facepalm my cheeks getting rosy. "don't call me out like that"

"come onnn. You know I'm right, you know you don't need much to make a girl fall for you...maybe just fix your hair" she pointed at my messed up hair I tried to cut myself ends sticking out everywhere my bangs uneven. I roll my eyes.

"Alright class settle down" the teacher stood at the board. "Today you will have a new student take great care of her.

A blonde girl walked in smiling brightly. She had long hair almost down to her waist she looked so pretty. "hi ! My name is Mallie" I caught myself staring and looked down at my paper full of messed up doodles.

"Mallie why don't you take a seat next to Ash" I look up my eyes wide. From the corner of my eye I see Gabi smirking and winking at me. The blonde sat her backpack down sat down beside me.

"Hi" she smiled brightly. "I'm in love with you" I thought I said luckily, I didn't. How did I know? I was staring again sadly I snapped out of it. "hey" I say quietly mentally cursing at myself for saying that.

The teacher went on with her lesson. Mallie glanced down at my paper, she smirked. I felt something so weird as fu- in my stomach like thousands of butterflies just erupted in me... I apologize for how wrong that sounds.

I look at her immediately getting lost in her green eyes. Who thought eyes could be so pretty. She looked at me a wide grin on her stupidly pretty face. "You really have a talent for doodling" she looked down at my doodles that looked like shi-.

I smirk. "i should be a painter you know" I joke. She chuckles softly. That's it I'm dying.

The day went on with us talking making jokes sometimes flirtier than others. I learned that she has an older sister as her only siblings. We quickly grew close, but my heart broke every time I remembered she probably wasn't even into girls.

"Dam" Mallie paused standing beside me in front of the school "We're in high school.... already" we changed a lot over the summer. I finally got my hair cut properly and hers got up to shoulder length, it looked so pretty on her. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that my crush on her only got bigger and nothing happened other than the usual joking teasing.

"you coming?" she was already a few steps ahead snapping me out of my thoughts. "yeah" I followed
