To our surprise, when we woke up, we saw another moment of respite. We believed that today the sun would shine brightly. We all went downstairs and enjoyed the sun with mom and dad. Mom was planning that she would make sandwiches for breakfast. While enjoying tea and coffee, we discussed and planned our day. We opened the TV and watched some weather forecast news. The reporter told us that today the storm would be calm. However, safety should be kept in mind. Once again, the government authorities continued their supply distribution. Dad went out to the same street corner to get the supplies. This time we are provided with milk, bread, butter, cheese, fruits and vegetables along with some cookies. After seeing the fruits, Mom made a fruit salad for breakfast. Dad also suggested that since we all were inside, doing our work online and staying inside, it would be better to do some stretching exercises to prevent our bodies from getting stiff due to the cold. So, everyone started some stretching and it lasted for 10 minutes. After that, we decided to take a shower and then have breakfast. We hopped onto our respective work. Mom is planning to make vegetable soup and garlic bread for lunch. We are keeping our meals light and focusing on our health. The sun came to the rescue and melted a lot of snow. We all were happy but honestly, it was calm before the storm. In the evening, the weather changed drastically. The snowstorm returned and was much more brutal than before. We instantly turned on the news and the reporters were now emphasising that we should turn on heaters, get into sweaters, blankets, gloves, socks, and caps and stay indoors and together to share warmth. We followed all the instructions and soon the temperatures dropped rapidly. Luckily, we turned on the heaters so we didn't feel much cold. We dared to look outside through the window and we were shocked at the sight, the entire lawn and garden were covered with snow in such a short time.Seeing the outside sent shivers down our spines. We put on the blinds and huddle together. Our kitchen and living room are joined so mom and sis didn't face many problems in making dinner. This time, the dinner was a vegetarian barbeque with soup. There were pieces of onions, capsicum, tomatoes, potatoes, and cheese covered with spicy seasoning with a squeeze of lemon. We all were hoping the weather would become normal soon. We gathered our courage and went to sleep. unfortunately, all of our bedrooms are upstairs, meaning we have to get out of the warm living room, then go to our rooms, turn on the heaters and then sleep. however, tonight was a bit different. When me and my siblings went to the room, instead of turning on the heater and sleeping right away, we turned on the heater, placed some warm blankets on the floor and the 3 of us were sitting right in front of the heater. To keep the atmosphere cosier, we decided to set up an indoor picnic set up. We brought and placed pillows and blankets to cover ourselves. We shared our experiences and stories and played some games while sitting. Once the room was nicely warmed, we went to beds and slept the night away.
