Chapter 8

Since they met in the cemetery, little Tenzou had followed him everywhere. It was as if he were his shadow. He had often explained to the boy that he should leave, but the boy always shook his head and was back the next morning when the silver-haired boy opened the door to do some shopping or other things. Kakashi, who had never known anything other than to be alone, was slightly annoyed by this behavior. He didn't like being followed... and certainly not being stared at all. Because that was what Tenzou always did. No matter what the silver-haired boy did, he always looked at him with total fascination.
He couldn't say whether he had 100 Ryo stuck to his forehead, but he was sure that it was slowly but surely getting on his nerves...

And always those hugs. He wasn't a cuddly toy! But the brown-haired boy didn't mind and kept doing it whenever he got the chance. No matter where and no matter when.
"Can't you stop that? It's annoying!", said the silver-haired man for what must have been the thousandth time, as Tenzou threw his arms around his neck again.
But instead of just grinning cheekily at him like he always did, the brown-haired man said:
"You've lost your family. It's important that someone gives you warmth and security. Otherwise you will keep hiding behind a wall and become more and more emotionless yourself... "
He looked at him with big, worried eyes.
The silver-haired man kept cursing himself for having revealed everything about his thoughts, feelings and dreams to the little boy when he had an emotional breakdown. In those moments he was just a helpless wreck. He felt trapped in his gloomy and dark thoughts. They threatened to swallow him up again and again, but somehow he always managed to get away from them.
Kakashi was silent for a moment before he said quietly:
"Thank you, Tenzou."

Kakashi:

The blonde was clearly out of his mind! Kakashi was actually a very carefree and above all calm person, but this Deidara drove him crazy.
Tze. He probably thinks that everyone dances to his tune.
OK. Tobi is apparently an exception. From what the silver-haired man had noticed, he did everything this blonde Barbie wanted.

Anyway, he was still sitting in the common room on an uncomfortable couch, annoyed that he hadn't been able to sleep in, and was flicking through the channels on the TV.
He found it fascinating how Akatsuki had managed to get water, electricity and gas down to the hideout. Somehow he didn't want to know...
The silver-haired man decided to get himself something to drink after he had noticed that there were only advertisements or stupid love stories everywhere.
His throat already felt dry.
He started moving and then entered the kitchen.
As fate would have it, he met Hidan.
"Well, you wanker. I heard that Deidara was hitting on you? Don't tell me you let a pussy like that get away with that?!"
He grinned mockingly and took a bite of a sandwich that he had probably just made for himself.
Kakashi sighed. Apparently everything here was spreading like wildfire. And there were thin walls too. What a jackpot.
"I don't let anyone get away with anything. Especially not someone younger!" he said, sounding neutral, and opened the fridge to inspect it.
He decided to treat himself to a glass of milk and took the tetra pack of milk from the fridge.
"You're a tough guy, aren't you?" Hidan laughed and seemed to be having a great time.
The silver-haired man rolled his eyes inwardly as he took a glass from the cupboard and poured milk into it.
He put the carton away again and wanted to drink the milk, but... then he noticed this look.
Hidan stared at him. And how he did.
He raised his eyebrows.
"I have something on my face?" he asked amused.
The person he was addressing winced and looked everywhere but at his face.
"Uh, no? Is there something there? I just wanted to see your face."
"Wow, your first sentence without any insults," he blurted out.
Hidan looked at him silently. The silver-haired man thought he was going to completely freak out, but the crazy man just started laughing.
He laughed until tears fell and then wiped them away.
"I like you, asshole," he said, laughing and slapping him on the shoulder, causing Kakashi to spill some milk.
He seemed to have forgotten that he actually wanted to see the silver-haired man's face, and so he disappeared from the kitchen, still laughing.

The copy ninja watched him go, shaking his head. Everyone seemed to have lost their minds here.
He cleaned up the mess and then pulled down his face mask to finally empty the glass. He had barely emptied it when Tobi stormed into the kitchen.
"Tobi found you, Kakashi-Senpai. You're really good at hide-and-seek," he said happily, clapping his hands.
The silver-haired man quickly pulled his face mask back up.
He put the glass in the sink and turned to the masked men.
"What is it?" he asked immediately.
He didn't really want to beat around the bush... especially because he suspected that it would take hours of agony with Tobi.
"Leader-sama has given us a mission. We are to catch the three-tailed one..."
He felt uneasy when a red eye looked at him, eerie and almost predatory. But when he blinked and didn't see it again, he decided that it must have just been his imagination.
Kakashi raised his eyebrows and looked at Tobi strangely.
"Me? You really want me to come with you?" he said in disbelief.
He couldn't quite imagine it. There had to be a catch somewhere.
After all, the silver-haired man hadn't even been a member of this organization for a week. And yet they put so much trust in him by taking him on such an important mission?"
"Of course. It's much more fun with three people. Deidara-Senpai is looking forward to it."
He wrinkled his nose in displeasure.
Deidara could stay in his eyes where the pepper grew.
"That will definitely be fun," said Tobi.
For a brief moment his voice sounded deeper than usual. The red eye was visible again. But when Kakashi wanted to take a closer look, the masked man turned around and said:
"At 2 p.m. in our room."
Then he was gone.
