AUTHOR'S NOTE: For the record, I'm too lazy to make the design for the other hunters for now so use your imagination and maybe pay attention to the pronouns I use for them.

*Later, somewhere else in town*

Currently, Badger and Outlaw were acting as bodyguards for Ms. DiMartino in one of the Underground's safe houses and were waiting for Judge to arrive.

"Who are you guys and why am I here? One minute I was on my way home after teaching classes and I was taken by the two of you."

"I understand you're confused Ms. DiMartino but please believe when I say that we're doing this for your safety." Outlaw said

"We know who you used to be, Maria LaRoche. Your former fiance found out what you did and that you're in town but we are here to make sure you are safe from his grasps."

"... That's not possible, I was so careful to fake my death and avoid anyone finding out who I am."

"We don't know much on how he knows but if you cooperate with us, we'll make sure you can return to your normal life as Ms. Jessica DiMartino, a teacher at Royal Woods middle school."

"I've heard rumors about you people before from him, you're part of this Underground right?"

"... I'm afraid neither of us can confirm nor deny that until our... handler gets here."

The doorbell rings and Outlaw went to check the door and sees Judge outside and let her in.

"Hello Ms. DiMartino, you may call me Judge and these two are Badger and Outlaw. I need you tell me everything you know about your ex-fiance, his organization, and anything we can use against him."

"It's been a long time but I'll try to remember and tell you as much as I can."

"Uh Judge, shouldn't you be overseeing the mission with the others?" Outlaw said.

"It'll be fine, Strikeout is running point and I have my phone to connect with them should I need to. Why don't the two of you go get some air for a bit while I'll have a private talk with Ms. DiMartino here."

The two of them went outside to the backyard and Badger then lit a cigarette.

"You know, sooner or later you're gonna have to start quitting that habit"

"It helps calms the nerves and Judge doesn't seem to mind as long as it's only sometimes and never indoors or when I'm occupied with an important task plus you know how hard it is to quit."

"I'm just saying, you might want to avoid smoking around the apprentices especially since that new kid joined."

"Oh yeah, what was the kid's name again, Lincoln Loud or something?"

"Yeah, you weren't there at the Hub at the time but I saw him annihilate the shooting range with his natural talent with a firearm... a lot of us had lost a bet that day."

"He's an apprentice to Jet Wing right? It's a shame he's missing out on his training at the start due to an urgent assignment to the rest of us."

"Eh I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking some time to adjust a bit before jumping into training for assignments."

"Fair point but I can't help but feel like I heard the name somewhere else before."

"Yeah same here, I know I heard it before... I'm sure at least one of us will remember eventually."

*Meanwhile with Lincoln and the others*

The group walked out of Gus' and Piper was holding a large black and red goth bunny plush in her arms as a prize.
