"All students attending RavenWood Academy are kindly requested to proceed to the cafeteria for an important announcement."

Announcement

"The school is organizing a family meet and greet event. Families have been informed of the event, and it will take place in the lounge room. Please proceed to the designated area."

A family meet and greet? How ironic! Adonis meets my gaze and encloses his hand around mine. "Come, I want you to meet my family."

"Are you serious?"

A smirk appears on Adonis' lips, as he tilts his head back. "My sisters are in the lounge."

I exhaled sharply as we headed toward the lounge, where I was greeted by the gaze of three girls. "Sisters, this is Josephine."

"It's a pleasure to meet you."

Flashback

Last night, at 9:30 PM, my water broke unexpectedly. To make things even more dramatic, my husband and I were in the middle of an argument, and he had to rush off to work. Thankfully, my amazing friend Lola stepped up and stayed by my side all night. I put my 2-year-old triplet daughters to sleep and rested on the sofa. My water broke, and the platter dropped to the floor. Lola turns her head, meeting my shocked gaze, and heads to the rooms, obtaining my daughters. After helping me outside, she led us to the car door and raced us to the hospital through the pouring rain, the windshield wipers were screeching and making it challenging to see. My gaze turned to my daughters, as they rested in the back, their heads laying on each other and their eyes shut. A loud will left my mouth, as the car hit a tree, and we were immediately found by a local construction worker. "Oh My God!" Lola fell out of the car, her wrist bleeding, cuts on her face, and scratches around her body. My state worsened, as my screams worsened, my leg was torn, and my stomach was cut. Cries leave my mouth, but as my gaze opens, it is caught by bright lights. A car.

"Oh, Dear! Are you are you alright?", the man asks, he looks at my state, and obtains us into his vehicle, driving us towards the hospital. "Mommy!", one of my daughters says. "It's going to be okay." Tears fall fondly in my eyes, as my wrist starts bleeding out in his car, Lola wraps my wrist, with a shirt, stroking my hair. "It's going to be okay, friend."

We arrived at the hospital, and I was rushed in for an operation. "She needs to push", Lola says, holding onto my daughters with a tight grip. My gaze looks at her through my blurry vision, watching her barely hold her stance. "You need stitches. And your friend needs a c-section— she can't push, she's too injured."

"Surgery?"

My thoughts were overlapping, and I became overwhelmed. Surgery?

"I can'—Lola, I can't leave them. What if I d—"

Lola walks towards me, rapidly, whispering in my ear. "An incarvillea delavayi, it's a flower."

She placed it in my mouth, and I took in a large gulp, taking another deep breath. "ok."

The blossom falls on the tip of her tongue, as she sallows, allowing it to decline into her stomach. A painful hoot leaves her. "He's coming."
