"Elaena! Stop hitting Aegon!" Alicent yelled through the red keep. Her voice echoed I'm sure the whole of Kings Landing heard.

"He started it! I swear it!" Aegon smiled at Elaenas attempt to justify her actions. He held his arm pretending to cry to their mother.

"Let the children play. It's harmless fun." Their father, Viserys I, told Alicent. She looked defeated, exhausted, she had the handmaids looking after Helaena as she held Aemond.

"I want to hold the baby!" I shouted, I love baby creatures, I'm sure he'd be no different.

"You cannot. You will drop him." Alicent handed him off to one of the handsmaids before I could say anything further. My face dropped, I was sad. He was my baby.

"Get out of the way!" Aegon said as he pushed me and made his way towards the great hall like room to breakfast.

We were now two and ten. Aegon was in this weird stage of life, pleasuring himself every chance he got. It was annoying. I had left him to drown in his cups as I walked down the corridor.

I heard shouting, as I got closer the shouting became louder. Aemond was hunched over clutching his eye, Lucerys holding the knife.

I ran to Aemond. I kneeled down in front of him desperately trying to see the damage.

"Let me see. It's ok, it's ok." He didn't let me get close, so I just held him and looked up at the other children, beat and blood dripping off their clothes.

Guard escorted us, I had a tight grip on my brother, I stroked his hair in an attempt to calm him down.

"Prince lucerys brought a blade to the ambush, meant to kill my son." Alicent stood tall, addressing everyone in the room as I sat with Aemond. I held his hand, hoping it would ease the pain.

"It was my sons who were attacked and forced to defend themselves. Vile insults were levied against them." Rhaenyra spoke. I couldn't help but feel shocked, I looked to Aemond and he was smiling, I let go of his hand and stood up. Backing away from my family.

"What insults?" My father said, staring between Rhaenyra and Aemond. He was worried.

"The legitimacy of my sons birth was put loudly to question." Rhaenyra spoke again, i lead out an audible gasp, not out of sarcasm. Out of pure fear.

"What?" My father looked even more confused.

"He called us bastards." Prince Jacaerys spoke, his voice small, it broke my heart.

"My sons are in line to inherit the Iron Throne, your grace. This is the highest of treasons. Prince Aemond must be sharply questioned so we might learn where he heard such slanders." Everyone looked to Aemond, gasp heard around the room.

"Over an insult? My son has lost an eye." Alicent still trying to defend my younger brother. Yet I couldn't find the words.

"You tell me boy, where did you hear this lie." My father kneeled down infront of him then my mother spoke.

"The insult was trending amongst the lot of boys, it was nothing." My mother said knowing it was a lie. I wanted to speak but I couldn't, I felt the air catch in my throat. My father looked to her then back to Aemond.

"Aemond, I asked you a question." Aemond looked kind of frightened, he looked to my mother.

"Where is sir Laenor? I wonder, the boys father, perhaps he might have something to say in the matter." My mother really tried it. I feel embarrassed to call this lot my family.

"Yes, where is sir Laenor?" My father looked at everyone, and in return everyone looked at Rhaenyra.

"I do not know your grace. I could not find sleep, I'd gone to walk." Rhaenyra said, a lie but atleast it's justifiable.

"Entertaining his young squires, I venture."
Ser Criston laughed at my mothers comment, I stared at him and in return he stared at me.

"Aemond, look at me. Your king demands an answer. Who spoke these lies to you?" My father stared intensely at Aemond, while he stared at my mother.

"It was Aegon." Aemond finally spoke, I let out an audible scoff.

"Me?" Aegon spoke, he looked betrayed, I felt for him but it was normal behavior.

"And you, boy? Where did you hear such calumnies?" My father walked up to Aegon, while he just stared at Aemond.

"AEGON! Tell me the truth of it!" My father screamed in his face.

"We know father. Everyone knows, just look at them." Aegon looked to the boys, Rhaenyras boys.

"This interminable infighting must cease! All of you! We are a family! Now make your apologies and show good will to one another, your father, your grandsire, your king demands it!" My father gestured to everyone in the room, he made the most eye contact with my mother before she spoke again, stirring this up, again.

"That is insufficient. Aemond has been damaged permanently, my king. "Good will" cannot make him whole." My mother was on the verge of tears.

"I know, Alicent. But I cannot restore his eye."

"No because it had been taken."

"What would you have me do?"

"There is a debt to be paid. I shall have one of her sons eyes in return." Everyone started to mumbled, shocked at the queen response.

"My dear wife."

"He is your son, Viserys. Your blood." My mother shed a tear as she spoke.

"Do not... allow your temper to guide your judgment."

"You idiot!" Elaena shouted, Aegon sat on his side of the room, clutching his head in his hands.

"Leave me alone." He kept his gaze on the floor, he couldn't even look up at me.

"They'll hate you! Your own nephews will hate you. Not only that you had no right to say that in a room full of people, have you no shame!" Elaena stopped infront of him to yell at him. She had stopped pacing for a moment.

"Elaena that is enough! I can hear you all the way down the hall, what has gotten into you?!" Alicent entered, her eyes bulging from the events of the day.

"I'm the only one here that sees reason! You lied to your own husband, the king! Aemond is injured and you haven't even been to see him! Don't start acting like a mother now!"
