《Giarra's POV》

"How is she?"

That was the first thing na tinanong ni Headmistress Ascella Brenner nang makarating ako, kasama sina Alex, Eir, Lyssa, Amir - the prince - at pati na rin si Ma'am Serene Fraus.

"She's stable now, Ma'am," sagot ni Miss Serene. "The poison did not leave any harm sa spiritual vein niya, especially sa immortal core niya."

Miss Serene is a Flair user. She uses her energy through her hands para makita ang health ng isang tao. She also heals their inner wounds.

The Headmistress nodded while sipping her tea. Tahimik lang kaming pinakikinggan ang pinag-uusapan nila dahil sa totoo lang, we're not supposed to be here!

Dapat nasa tabi kami ni Moke! Especially now, na mga nurse lang ang nag-aalaga sa kaniya. As her friends and roommates, kami dapat ang umaantabay sa kaniya ngayon.

Twice. She's been sent there twice already. Ni hindi pa nag-iisang buwan, dalawang beses na agad siyang napunta sa hospital ng academy.

"This attack is somewhat suspicious," saad ni Headmistress. "Lalo na ngayon, na malapit na ang pagtungtonh ng mga bata sa Descry Platform."

Naging tahimik ang opisina dahil sa sinabi niya.

Tiningnan ko ang mga kasama ko isa-isa. Si Lyssa at Amir ay parang walang pakielam sa nangyayari sa paligid nila. Si Ma'am Serene, Eir at Alex naman ay seryosong nag-iisip. Habang ako? Naiinip na dahil gusto ko na talagang umalis dito.

Moke has been kind to me. She helped me adjust here. Although lagi siyang parang walang emosyon, I know she cares for me, for us. Kahit pa palagi siyang seryoso at malalim ang iniisip, she still tries her best na makisama at makibagay sa'min.

Ang OA mo na, Giarra!

"Lyssa, Amir?"

Napaayos ng upo ang dalawa.

"I know what you've been up to, kaya mabuti pa ay itigil niyo na iyon," babala ni Maam Ascella. "You should act your age and stop tarnishing your royal reputation."

"But—"

" Alam kong nag-aaway kayo ni Moke bago pa nangyari ang insidente," putol niya kay Lyssa. "Kung hindi lang kayo miyembro ng Royal family at mga bata, posibleng kayo ang mapagbintangan sa atakeng nangyari kanina."

Oo nga naman. Sila lang naman ang gulo nang gulo kay Moke lalo na nung malaman nilang hindi makita ni Moke ang energy niya. They have the motive since the attack clearly targeted Moke.

"Why us?" seryosong tanong ni Amir.

"That was only a possibility. Lay low for now or better yet stop bullying the other students. You could've been killed too kanina."

Hindi na nakasagot ang dalawa lalo na't sumenyas na rin ang Headmistress para makaalis sila.

"Serene, continue monitoring Miss Tavarious' condition and report to us kapag may nangyari ulit na ganito," saad niya kay Ma'am. "I will go to the Royal Court bukas para i-report ang nangyari."

Pagkatapos noon ay lumabas na rin ng office si Ma'am kaya kaming tatlo na lang ang naiwan doon.

Normally, I would ask questions right away pero hindi ko magawa ngayon. If I embarrass myself in front of the Headmistress, baka pati pamilya ko mahiya sa'kin.

"Did you notice something strange around Miss Tavarious?"

Napatingin ako sa mga katabi ko. Hindi sila sumagot kaya naisipan kong wag na lang ding sumagot.

"The attack was on point. Sinigurado nitong si Miss Tavarious lang ang mapapahamak. The blade also came from outside the academy and it's a stolen one."

Bakit naman nila pupuntiryahin si Moke?

"Do you know something about her bago pa siya dumating dito?"

How would we know?

Sabay sabay lang kaming dumating dito kaya bakit niya kami tinatanong ng ganoong klaseng tanong.

After a minute of silence, Alex spoke up and his words shocked my whole system. "She's from the human realm."

What the hell?!

"H-Human realm?!" I uttered unconsciously.

Maging si Eir ay gulat din sa nalaman. It was evident sa expression niya. Habang ang Headmistress ay walang emosyong nakatingin lang sa'min.

"Is she human? Pero imposible yun!" tanong ko pa kay Alex. " Humans can't know our existence? Isn't that part of the law?!"

"Calm down, Giarra," ani Eir. "Let him explain."

Nakagat ko ang labi ko. Napatingin ako sa paligid ko and I suddenly felt awkward. Nakakahiya! Ang OA ko!!

"She was raised there but she's an immortal," panimula ni Alex. "Her father wanted to bring her here pero inambush sila while they were on their way. Moke probably can't remember dahil para siyang wala sa wisyo nung time na 'yon kahit na may malay siya."

Huminga siya nang malalim bago ipinagpatuloy ang kwento niya.

"Her uncle asked me a favor to go to the human realm para protektahan siya but we were a bit late that time. Someone wanted to kill them pero yung tatay lang niya ang napatay nila. Nagpakamatay ang mga iyon bago pa man namin sila mahuli. In the end, si Moke lang ang naibalik namin sa mga Tavarious and the rest ay hindi ko na alam."

I suddenly felt a pang in my chest. Hindi ko mapigilang hindi masaktan sa mga narinig ko.

Moke saw her father die, maybe even vanish into thin air. That's the worst thing a child can ever witness in this lifetime, for me. It must've hurt her a lot.

"Bakit ka naman umiiyak?" pabulong na tanong ni Eir nang mapansin ang luhang tumulo sa pisngi ko kaya pinunasan ko agad iyon.

"Wala."

I glared at him. He purposely let me hear them.

"But why was she targeted?" ako.

"We don't know either," sagot ni Alex. "Her uncle just briefed us na sunduin sila since her father gave them signals and a note that they will be coming back. He must've sensed that something was wrong kaya nanghingi siya ng tulong sa kapatid niya."

The Tavarious clan were one of the great clans in this realm. They hold so much power that they are respected the most, next to the Royals. They train the armies that the Royals send in wars. Sila rin ang in charge of making sure that the Peace Treaty between the three realms is still being followed.

"What if it's related to their clan's duties?" I asked again.

"It could be," ani Headmistress. "But why would they hurt someone that's not even in our realm?"

That's true. Walang kinalaman sina Moke kung yun ang rason dahil hindi na sila nananatili rito. They have no business here.

"Kailan ba nalaman ng mga Tavarious na babalik sila?" si Eir.

"That same day din," sagot ni Alex. "Kaya pinagmadali kaming pumunta doon."

Paano nalaman ng mga umambush sa kanila na babalik na sila? Was there someone else that read the note? If so, that means there's a traitor. Or…

An idea came to my mind but I need to confirm it first.

"Kailan siya dumating dito?"

Alex looked at me. "Two and a half months ago."
