⚠️TW: SELF HARM ⚠️

Meredith and I walk into the house after work to see Alex and Jo sitting in the living room talking. "When did you guys get here?" I ask towards Alex because I didn't see him leave the hospital. "We left early because Jo got off early and I didn't want her to come back here alone." Alex says back at me. "Are you guys ready for dinner?" Meredith says as she looks at the clock. It's 6:42 pm. "Sure." Alex and I say at the same time. "I'll help." I say to my sister as I drop my bag by the stairs and go to the kitchen to help with dinner.

"Lexie do you have anything Interesting happening tomorrow?" Meredith asks me. "Not really. Just some boring stuff I have to teach the interns tomorrow." I sigh, moving the food on my plate around with my fork. "Well maybe I'll learn something good." Jo says trying to spark conversation. "No. You won't. Because you're just some dumb stupid little intern that Alex has to take care of because you can't take care of yourself." I angrily blurt out. "That is my sister. Leave her alone!" Alex says towards me. "No I won't. She's my intern. I'm supposed to teach her." I retaliate back. "Lexie that wasn't nice." Meredith says. "I don't care. She doesn't deserve nice." I say. "It's fine. I don't care." Jo says trying to stop the fight. "Just shut up already." I say trying to get the intern to be quiet. And now tears are starting to form in my eyes. "Lex." My sister says trying to calm me down. "No, Enough!! I hate all of you!!" I snap towards all of them,
run out and storm off to my bedroom and slam the door shut. When I get in the room, I run over to my drawer and pull out a razor blade. Not wanting to cut but needing to, I held the blade against my arm and cut. Deep. Blood starts to run down my arms almost immediately after I cut the first wound. I keep cutting different spots on my wrist. After a while of cutting, I put the blade back in my drawer and lay down on the bed. After a while there was a knock at my door. "What." I say to the person on the other side of my door. "Hey Lexie.. are you okay?" I hear a worried Jo say. "I'll be fine. Go away." I say back, but desperately wanting someone to help me. "No, I'm coming to help. I'm coming in." She says as the door starts to open. I try to hide my arms but she already seen them. "Lexie.." she says when she sees all the blood on my wrists and bed. "What's wrong." She says as she sits by me and grabs my wrist to look at the cuts. "Everything. Everyone." I say. "Let me help." She says, grabbing a towel and a bottle of rubbing alcohol from my desk. "I'm going to clean your arm. This might hurt a bit, but I'm right here. I promise." She says as she puts some of the alcohol on the towel. "Ready?" She says asking me. I nod and she starts to blot the towel against my cuts. I flinch in pain and she stops. "You're okay." She says calming me. She begins to clean them again. Once she finishes she wraps my wrist with a bandage and sits back down beside me. "How are you now?" She asks, hoping she helped. "Better. Thanks." I say smiling at her. She smiles back. "Maybe she's not actually that bad." I think to myself as she gets up to leave. I grab her wrist to stop her. "Jo. Wait." I say and she slowly turns back around. "Yes?" She says. "I'm sorry for being mean to you. I don't hate you. You're just my intern and I thought I had to be mean to you." I say and she looks at me a minute before waking out of the room. "Well that was great" I thought to myself before I lay back down on the bed and go to sleep.
