hello!! this one shot takes place after the Final War arc, basically they will have PTSD. Manga spoilers ahead!! This contains more angst, kinda graphic?

Narrator POV:

(flashback)
There he was, Kacchan dead on the floor. Shigaraki asked Izuku if he liked his gift for him. All might was fighting All For One and was losing terribly, at this rate all might was going to die if he didn't stop. Izuku didn't know what to do anymore, he lost control of his emotions again. He was going full on beast mode on Shigaraki but was still being strategic. He took a glance at all might and realized he was going to die in the hands of AFO.
"SOMEONE SAVE ALL MIGHT!!!" He shouted with tears in his eyes.
(end of flashback)

Izuku woke up from his terrible nightmare, blackwhip surfacing his body prepared to attack. He was sweating a storm as tears had formed in his eyes, and hyperventilating. He felt like he couldn't breathe, almost like his airway was being closed from an allergic reaction. He knew they had won the war but it still scarred him mentally.

Izuku couldn't breathe.

He was pacing around his room trying to be able to breathe but the images of katsuki couldn't leave. At this point he was in tears and collapsed onto his knees, clutching his shirt tightly. Izuku has never had an an anxiety attack this severe.  It was only 8:57 pm, it occurred to him then that he was dozing off and fell asleep. Oh boy, how much fun he was going to have sleeping tonight. It was already time for dinner but there was no way izuku could muster up the courage and put on a smile after that nightmare. It was impossible and inhumane. Izuku's breathing was rapidly becoming faster and faster, he couldn't possibly be this scared right? He had already defeated shigaraki and afo so what was there to worry about? Izuku couldn't find the patience to catch his breath. He had decided to take a warm shower to relax him.

The warm water running down from his head and onto his back soothed and eased his tense muscles, his mind had calmed. Izuku was beginning to catch his breath, until he looked at his arms and hands. They were all scarred up. 'I look disgusting.' he thought to himself pensively. He finished scrubbing his body, and rinsed. Once he got out of a shower, he dried himself up and put a towel oh his head and waist. He walked out of the bathroom, a trail of steam following behind as he walked. He chose an simple, yet comfy outfit, and proceeded to slip on his slippers.

He walked out of his dorm and towards the elevator so he could meet up with everyone in the common room. Once he arrived, he realized that no one was there. After all, it was a school night. Izuku then walked to the kitchen to grab a snack since no one had called him down for dinner. He decided that it would be best to watch a movie while munching on his snack, despite him knowing he needed to wake up early the next day.

Izuku had already finished his movie, instead of going back to his dorm he stayed to watch another movie, it was already 11:00. His eyelids began to feel heavy, he dozed off into an unconscious state.

2:43 am.

Izuku began to shiver in the middle of the night, not because he was cold he had a blanket, but the cause was that he felt fear. The moments of the war kept replaying in his mind, mainly Katsuki's death. He honestly felt lonely but he wasn't going to admit it right? His dream began when he was pulled towards the wrong location, seeing his friends pulled into their original coordinates. He remembered Ochaco, the way she had kept pushing although she was stabbed by Himiko Toga. He felt...regret. Regret for leaving Uraraka injured, remembering the outcome she had.

*Flashback to hospital*

The painkillers were slowly wearing off as Izuku began waking up, he had just gone through surgery. Aizawa was sitting in a chair from across the room since he didn't suffer any major physical injuries. Deku began to panic once he realized where he was, he was worried.
"Sensei, what happened? Is Kacchan okay? How is everyone? Is Uraraka injured? I'm sorry I couldn't keep the damage to a minimum, I promise I'll help with the rebuilding since after all I am the one who caused it. How are yo-" Izuku was cutoff.
