It's been about 2 weeks since the concert. Taehyun sent only one text to Beomgyu a week ago and he still hasn't responded. Soobin, his roommate, asks if he's still waiting for a response. "You're not worried, are you?" Soobin asks, looking up from his phone. "He's probably just busy." Taehyun shrugs, trying to sound nonchalant, but he can't help but feel a little disappointed. He didn't really mind waiting and thought it was just his busy schedule. He wasn't wrong though. Taehyuns phone buzzed. It was a text... From Beomgyu.
"Hey Taehyun! Sorry I haven't texted you back. My schedule has been busy. It was really nice meeting you backstage! Thank you for the bracelet. It is beautiful and means a lot to me. Hope you're doing well!"
Taehuyn stared at the screen in disbelief. Beomgyu actually remembered him and took time to send a message to him. A cheesy smile started spreading across his face.
"Hi beomgyu! Thank you so much for the message! Meeting you was like a dream come true. I'm glad you liked the bracelet. I'm doing great thanks for asking."
As the days went by they both started to text back and forth more frequently. They talked about everything music, dreams, and even taehyuns favorite foods. Taehyuns felt something towards beomgyu. Something he really didn't expect would happen.
One evening while talking together about their favorite books, beomgyu suggested, "We should meet up again sometime. Maybe grab a coffee and talk in person?"
Taehyuns heart raced. "I'd love that!" he replied, trying to keep his excitement in check.
Beomgyu told him to meet him at a nearby coffee shop after dark because he can't can't let fans think he's on a date. Taehyun stands waiting for like 10 minute he starts getting nervous that Beomgyu set the meet up just to laugh at him.
"Hey! Taehyun! over here!" a voice called behind him coming. Taehyun started to get excited when he realized it was Beomgyu. He looked exhausted but happy to see him.
His eyes lit up when he recognized Taehyun from the fan meetings. "You came!"
Taehyun's heart skipped a beat. "Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Beomgyu smiled warmly. "I'm glad you really came. Want to grab a coffee? I could use a break."
Taehyun's eyes widened in surprise. "Yeah, I'd love to." They have been chatting about the concert and their shared love for music. Taehyun couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to Beomgyu, as if they had known each other forever.Over coffee, Beomgyu opened up about the pressures of being an idol. "It's tough, you know? Always being in the spotlight, trying to meet everyone's expectations of a person."
Taehyun nodded empathetically. "I can imagine. But you make so many people happy, including me."
Beomgyu's eyes softened. "Thanks, Taehyun. That means a lot."
Throughout the evening Beomgyu starts feeling something he hasn't felt. Is he catching feelings for him? No, this couldn't be they literally just met. As the evening went on, they shared stories, laughed, and discovered a deep connection. Taehyun felt a mix of excitement and disbelief. Could this really be happening? When it was time to part ways, Beomgyu hesitated. "Hey, Taehyun. Would you like to meet again? Maybe we could hang out sometime?"
Taehyun's heart soared. "I'd love that."
Beomgyu grinned. "Great. I'll text you."
As Taehyun walked home, he couldn't wipe the smile off his face. This was just the beginning, and he couldn't wait to see where this unexpected encounter would lead.
As the months went by, Taehyun and Beomgyu continued to text and occasionally meet up. Their bond grew stronger, and it became clear that they both had feelings for each other, even if they hadn't said it out loud yet.
One day, Beomgyu texted Taehyun, "Hey, do you want to hang out this weekend? I have something important to tell you."
Taehyun's heart skipped a beat. "Sure, I'd love to," he replied, wondering if it was the right time to confess. But what if it was too important that he can't. They decided to meet at a quiet park where they could talk without being disturbed. When Taehyun arrived, Beomgyu was already there, looking a bit nervous.
"Hey," Taehyun greeted him with a smile. "What's up?"
Beomgyu stood up and took a deep breath. "Taehyun, I've been wanting to tell you something for a while now. Spending time with you these past few months has been amazing, and I realized that... I really like you. More than just a friend." Taehyun's eyes widened in surprise. "Beomgyu, I like you too. I've felt this way ever since, but didn't know how to say it." Beomgyu smiled, relieved. He held Taehyuns hand. "I'm so glad you feel the same way. I was worried I might ruin our friendship."
Taehyun shook his head with a big smile. "No way. This just makes everything better."Soobin watched from across the park, a smile tugging at his lips as he saw Taehyun laughing. He had been hoping that Taehyun would notice him, but it seemed like his hopes were dashed. He knew he should be happy for Taehyun, but he couldn't help but feel a slight pang of disappointment. He turned and walked away, a quiet sigh escaping his lips.
