              As the day started to get closer, the parents started to purchase everything and book the Mahal for an engagement. They invited their family for an engagement. Neil gave the invitation to his colleagues and Avni gave the invitation to her colleagues.

Neela: This month, 29?

Avni: Yes mam.

Neela: When is your marriage?

Avni: April 10.

Neela: Congratulations. But I have work on that day. So sorry, I can't come. Definitely, I will come for your marriage.

Avni: Ok mam.

Karan: Mam, representing our staff, I will come for your engagement.

Avni: Thank you, sir.

         Aman entered the staff room asking permission to call the staff for the next class. He saw the invitation card and the name on it. He entered his class and told his friends about it.

DD: Are you sure?

Aman: I am 100% sure. Moreover, the people who are at the stage of marriage are only Avni mam and Karan sir in our department. Do you remember the shooting spot? Neil sir told us that he is Mam's fiance. So, definitely that invitation belongs to Avni mam.

Mitali: Then will she tell us about her engagement, now?

Tara: Did you forget something? Our staff won't invite the students for their engagement and all. They will just inform us when they are gonna get married. I don't think so, Avni mam will say her engagement in the class.

DD: But, isn't she a good friend to us?

Aman: She is a professor for us, first. Then only this good friend and all.

            Karan entered the class and they went back to their place. After an hour, Avni entered the class to teach the students. She did the usual things and DD, Mitali and their friends were waiting for her to tell the news in class. But she didn't tell. At the end of the class, Avni thanked the student and left the class. As the college was over, the gang sat in the canteen and had a time together.

Shalini: How can she forget us?

Siddharth: She always used to be with us after the college got over and spend time with us. I thought she was one among us. A good friend.

Seema: And as she is only 5 years older than us, I considered her as my sister. How can she do this to us?

DD: I am so disappointed. How can my beauty queen do this to me?

        Mitali glares at DD. DD stopped speaking.

Mitali: Maybe she has some other reason. Why don't you guys think about that?

Tara: what it would be? She didn't even come today, to spend time with us.
 
         Avni stood before them and placed the invitation card on the table. The gang sees the card and Avni.

Avni: Coming 29, is my engagement. I will be glad if you 9 members come.

          DD took the invitation card and saw it. Avni sits along with them.

Mitali: Why didn't you tell me that in the class, mam?

Avni: I would have if Seema's mam had allowed it.

Seema: Oh, that mam. I knew it. I really hate my name because of that mam.

        Their friends laughed.
