"Hi, cutie!"

Umikot ang mga mata ni Ella. Kilala niya na kung kaninong boses iyon galing. 

Kay Tots.

Kung last time ang gusto niya ay kilalanin at kaibiganin siya, binabawi na niya ngayon. 

Magmula kasi noong hinayaan niyang pasukin ni Tots paunti-unti ang kaniyang buhay sa pamamagitan ng madalas na pakikisalamuha sa kaniya, hindi na siya nito tinigilan.

Maging sila Alyssa nga ay nakilala na siya bilang kaibigan ni Ella kahit hindi naman niya sinabi kasi nga lagi silang magkasama. 

"I'm studying," Ella declared but she's lying. The book she's reading has nothing to do with the course she's taking. 

But still, Tots grabbed the chair, put it near her, and sat. 

"Look, if you're trying to bother, please-" Ella shifted her attention to Tots and she was surprised by the short proximity. Halos maduling na siya sa sobrang lapit ng mukha nito sa kaniya.

Diana mae smirked. 

And Ella put her two fingers on her forehead to put some distance. Natawa na lang si Tots at siya na rin ang kusang lumayo.

Wearing a pastel blue t-shirt, Tots styled it with ripped jeans and a branded pair of rubber shoes. Simple but it's Tots so she looks good. 

Ella acknowledged Tots friendly nature kaya hindi siya nahirapan na papasukin ito sa buhay niya. A month ago, they were strangers when suddenly she approached her, and ended their conversation by saying how cute Ella is. 

"Sungit talaga! Lunch tayo, ha? Sabay ka sakin," Tots said while flipping the page of her book. Probably for the class she will take later.

Tumingin si Ella sa sariling relo at malapit na rin mag-lunch. Kaso lang naalala niya na sasabayan pala niya si Jia. 

"Sorry, can't. I promised Jia na ililibre ko siya later eh," Ella continued reading her book after saying that. Tots made a sad noise though.

"Edi sasabay na lang ako sainyo," she demanded. Ella raised an eyebrow at her. Baliw ba 'to? They're not even close. 

Bago pa makasagot si Ella nagpatuloy ito, "just so you know, we're in the same program."

Huh? Hindi iyon alam ni Ella ah. Lagi niya kasi itong nakakalimutang itanong. 

"Mutuals na rin kami sa facebook. Pati si Bea, Alyssa, Denden," she boasted. Ella stopped reading but didn't remove her eyes from the book to pretend that she was still reading.  

Tots snapped her fingers out of nowhere, "ah! may isa pa! 'Yung Jema ba 'yon?"

Napaangat bigla ng tingin si Ella at tumingin kay Tots. Si Jema?

"You're friends with Jema?" Ella asked. Tots noticed how she finally had her full attention after mentioning Jema's name. She wondered why.

"Facebook friend. I think I saw her last time kaya sinama ko na sa pag-add," Tots said while looking directly at Ella's eyes. She saw how the beautiful two brown orbs showed a specific emotion she could not point out.
