Aemma's POV
Me and my family decided to stay for a few more days, mostly for grandsire's sake. Two days after the dinner accident, there was an organised ball at the Red Keep. Every month, there was a ball like this and the royals were its hosts. I was getting my hair in pincurls while thinking about what happened two days ago. Jace already knows there is something between us, and if mother finds out, I'll be death and if Daemon finds out. I was finally done with my hair when I moved to choosing my dress and jewelries. I chose dark purple dress with jewelries that match it.

I went on to find the rest of my family so we could go in there together. I passedmy Jace's room, not wanting to go and find him as we were awkward since we yelled at each other a fornight ago. I found my mother, Daemon. They told me to go there alone, since they were going to be late. I know what that means, ewww.

I did what they told me to. There weren't many people, but Alicent and her children were already there, so I was obligated to greet them. I did it quickly, and she motioned for me to take my seat, which was in between two empty seats for Jace and Luce. We were seated by age and house. There were lots of powerful lords, including lord Tyland lanistar, James Lanister, Larys Strong, and many others.

Everyone started dancing, and I looked around to see if someone would ask me to dance with him. Someone grabbed my hand and made me stand up. I looked around and saw Jace smiling at me. Well, at least he is not angry with me anymore.

We went to the dancefloor and started dancing. I was having an amazing time being again so close with my family like old times. Jace then spun me around, and I found myself in Aemond's grasps.
"Good evening." Aemond said, and I replied back
"I see that today you are as strong as ever, niece." He joked, and I looked at him deathly
"I am not in a mood for games, uncle."
"Ohh, little bastard doesn't want to play with her uncle. What a pity." He teased once again

I left the dancefloor grabbing a bottle of ale then leaving the whole ball. I proceeded to sit in the front gates, taking big gulps from my alcohol. I know this was cowardly of my side to step out of the argument like that, but I'm not in a mood for anything these days, the greens little games, my mother's constant yelling, my brother's morals. It all pisses me off. I kept drinking from the bottle when I heard someone speaking
"Care to share?" I looked up and saw Aegon
"After all sharing is caring so..." I gave him the bottle, and he started taking big gulps
"Hey, I don't have another bittle, and if I come back at the ball, they'll yell at me for disappearing!"

"Don't worry. I know what it's it like and that's why I'll show you a place where they sell better wine." Aegon said and motioned for me to follow him. We went to his room, but luckily none of the guards suspected anything, as they are used to Aegon bringing different girls every night. He threw me some old rags for me to dress up.
"Uhm I-"
"Don't worry, I won't look." Aegon told me, turning around

I got dressed then turned around for him to get into his rags.
"You can turn for the show, sweetheart. I don't have a problem with you watching me." He teased, and I rolled my eyes playfully even though he couldn't see it.
"Readyyy, now let's go." He said
"Oh wait, wait." Aegon said and put some old looking hat on my head and hooded himself

"There, now that's better. They won't recognize that you are a riyal because of your hair, but they'll see that you are a girl and will try to take advantage of you." He explained
"Wait...we are going outside?!" I asked excitedly
"Yep, to the Street of Silk." He said, and we left his room.

While we were walking, I spoke up.
"So, where is our first destination?" I questioned
"To a bar. They'll serve us for free because they know me." Aegon explained
"Aegon, I'm here because I want to see something special. I can see a bar and drink wine every day." I said
"Oh, but this wine isn't like then one in the castle. It's stronger."He explained
We got to the street of the silk. It was pure chaos. There were men masthurbating on the street. People having sex. Women giving birth. It smelled like urine. There was vomit everywhere. The street was muddy. Someone tried to grab me by the arm. So this was the small folk life? I am glad that I am a royal.
"Hey!" I said angrily, realizing it was Aegon.
"Don't want for you to get lost." I grabbed him stronger, realizing that this place was, in fact, very dangerous, but for my comfort, we got to the bar very quickly.

We finally got into the bar. The music was loud. All the people were drunk. Some of them were dancing, and many of them were asleep. We sat on one of the tables, and a bartender came to us.
"What would you like to order."
"I would like some honey ale." I said
"Well, we don't serve that here. The bar is not that fancy. Why don't you try ordering that in the castle." He said rudely
"We'll take a bottle of wine." Aegon said, and the bartender nodded

He came back and gave us a bottle and two glasses. Aegon poured wine into the two glasses and gave one to me. I took a sip, tasting the very better liquor in my mouth. Aegon laughed at the face that I had made.
"Told you." He said
I then took another sip.
"I can get used to it. So this is what you do every night?"
"Yup, and then I sleep all day and repeat the same thing." He explained
"That's a sad way to live your life." I said, and he just stared at me.
"Oh, believe me, I do a lot of fun things." He smirked
"Like what?" I asked him, having no idea what he was talking about.
"I'll show you, but first we have to finish the bottle."
