"What?" Jungkook shows his confusion clearly on his face. Did Jungkook hear him right?

"Why not? You owe me," the prince looks pointedly at the black fur coat that is still hanging from Jungkook's shoulders. (It's a nice coat, okay?). But at that, all sense of fear flew out the window.

Jungkook takes the coat off and holds it out for the prince to take. "A coat can't be worth the same as spending ANY amount of time with you, let alone being your boyfriend."

"It won't be in actuality. I simply need a buffer because I cannot afford to be in an engagement nor a marriage right now. You are only required to stay by my side and pretend to... be involved with me, that is all," the prince looks away shyly.

"Ya know what, I think jail sounds like a great idea now," Jungkook states as he begins to walk away.

The prince holds out an arm to stop him. "Alright, no just, just wait."

"Waiting," Jungkook mocks as he crosses his arms with the coat still in his hand.

The prince follows along with, "How about a trade? Be my boyfriend until all the marriage talk dies down, and... I'll give you a month's supply of onions and garlic."

"No deal."

"2 months?"

"We can't live off of just onions and garlic!"

"Then," the prince runs his hand through his hair (so fluffy, the fuck) as he ponders. "Then you can live here! And if we play it right, even your whole family can live here." Then the prince's voice drops to an alluring octave. "In comfort, in cleanliness, and no empty dinner tables..."

Was he being fished? Was this the hook, line, and sinker? Oh but those puppy dog eyes, those full lips, that voice. He's been hooked for a while now. He fiddles with the coat in his hands and says, "if it means my family gets to live without any worries then.... fine."

The hand, so small, on his arm returns and with a tug the prince says, "Great let's go!"

"Wait, fuck, we're starting now?!"

The prince peeks around the corner to see if the way to the throne room is clear, then turns back. "Why not? You seem to be good at putting on a show at a moment's notice, what seems to be the problem?"

"Oh you little-" he gets cut off by a strong pull and suddenly he's being dragged into the throne room again.

"Mother!"

"Jimin I said th– oh, hello?" The queen was massaging her temples but straightened up at seeing the prince's... guest.

"I can't get married–"

"Ji–"

"TO ANYONE ELSE! It has to be him, because we're dating!"

Damn, he's really just diving into it, huh?

The queen looks like she doesn't believe a word she's hearing. Before she starts questioning, the prince cuts in with, "I know you know I sneak out of the palace from time to time. This is why!"

The queen's expression shifts from incredulous to anger quickly. "Oh really? So you were out getting to know him, and were NOT out getting to know your subjects from the different sectors like Junior Advisor Hoseok had told me?

"He was!" Jungkook jumped in to save them from further rage from the queen. "I-I've seen it. How do you think we met?" he said, never making eye contact out of fear.

From the corner of his eye he could see the queen cross her arms and heard a slight tap of her foot. "... Well, go on, tell me. How was it that you two met and how did it manage to reach a point where my son is suddenly announcing that he has been in a relationship with another boy and now wishes to marry him without my knowledge. Yes, please do explain."
