PLOT: Sam meets Xiao, whom are both investigating a museum break in.
Turns out that the museum thieves are Jin & Yin.

❤❤
After school, in the late evening, Xiao and her friends gathered in her bedroom for a sleepover, where they engaged in a variety of activities.
Pillow fights, video games, doing each others hair, charades. It was great fun.
It seemed to make Xiao feel alot better, considering what happened at school.

Pennie suggested that she talk to Flora at some point, to sort things out.
"Yeah, I can try." Xiao murmured, agreeing.

As the night went on, they went into the kitchen and made pizza. The did clean up after making a slight mess.
They then went to the living room and watched their favorite movies, cuddled up under blankets in a cozy den of pillows and cushions.

They shared secrets, told stories, and bonded over their shared love of all things pop culture.

Xiao felt grateful for her friends support and encouragement, knowing that they always had her back no matter what.

As the clock struck midnight, they all settled down to sleep, feeling content and happy in each other's company.
Xiao however, couldn't sleep.

Despite the amount of fun she just had, she still felt a tinge of sadness in her chest.

'And I'd totally like you back, if you were a guy.'

Xiao frowned as the words crossed her mind once more. She didn't even think to ask around about Flora's sexuality.

Xiao got out of bed, deciding to go out to the garden for some midnight training.

After changing into her workout clothes, without waking anyone, she grabbed her phone and quietly headed outside.

She wandered around the jungle garden aimlessly for a few minutes.
Eventually, she spotted a familiar clearing, hopped off the tree and landed near a fallen log.

The night air was cool and calming, the stars twinkling above her.

Xiao took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind of the thoughts that were plaguing her.

She began her training routine, going through her forms and practicing her techniques.
The familiar movements helped her focus and push away the lingering sadness.
As she moved, she felt a sense of peace and discipline flow through her.

After what felt like hours, Xiao finally stopped and sat back down on the log.
She looked up at the stars and felt a sense of clarity wash over her.

Then all of the sudden, her eyes started to glow a bright gold.

"What? Uhh! What's happening? What's wrong with my eyes!?" Xiao cried frantically.
Her vision now colored in gold, letting the fire princess see things far away with high definition.

"Wait, is this...? Oh my gosh. Gold Vision! I have Gold Vision!!"

Xiao was in awe as she realized the power she had obtained.

Gold Vision is a power that her Dad MK inherited from grandpa Sun Wukong.

It allows people to see through demonic illusions.
And it allowed Xiao to see things with incredible precision and detail.
She could see every leaf on a tree, every ripple in a pond, and every insect crawling across its surface of the ground.

Excitement bubbled up inside Xiao as she tested out her newfound ability, marveling at the world around her in a way she had never experienced before.

Xiao always thought that she was only gonna inherit Red Dad's Fire power's, but now she's discovered that she also has her Monkie Dad's abilities.

Which is Super Freaking Awesome!

"I wonder if I'll get any more of Dad's Monkey King powers?" Xiao wondered to herself.

Suddenly, Xiao's attention was drawn to something in the distance.
It was two figures entering through the roof window of the Megapolis Museum.

"Oh no. A crime. I gotta tell..." Xiao halted, realizing something.
"No! I'll stop those bad guys myself! Then maybe I can show my Dads I'm capable of handling the hero stuff!"
Shifting into her Mystic Monkey form, she jumped up onto branches, and swung her way towards the city.

It took half an hour for Xiao to reach her destination.
And when she did, she saw a hooded figure peaking through the same skylight.
Xiao assumed it was one of the two criminals she saw earlier.

"Hold it right there!" Xiao yelled, pointing a finger at the figure. "Hands where I can see them!"

"If you insist." The figure spoke, raising their hands and releasing light green and purple energy blast.

Xiao's eyes widened when she saw that the energy was directed at her.

Without thinking, she quickly dodged the attack, narrowly avoiding being hit by the blasts.
"Woo, that was a close one!" Xiao said, letting out a sigh of relief.

"That was a warning shot." The figure warned before sprinting back to the skylight.

"Oh no you don't!" Xiao shouted as she tries to shoot a fire ball at them.
But it missed, breaking the glass skylight instead.

"Uhh. Oops." Xiao muttered, a bit embarrassed.

"Nice shot, Spitfire." The figure replied sarcastically, leaping down from the broken window.

Xiao glared at them, annoyed at their remark.
"Your not getting away from me that easy!" She shouted, giving chase.

Inside the museum, the hooded figure made their way through the various exhibits, trying to evade that redheaded Monkey girl.

As soon as the figure thought they had lost her, they let out a sigh of relief.
Then, they let removed the hood, revealing himself to be Sam.

[The same white-haired teenager from the previous chapter]

Sam has different colored eyes. light green on the left, and lilac on the right.

"Phew, I think I lost her." He sighed, trying to catch his breath.

He walked further into the depths f the museum building, until he spotted two shadows moving stealthily past an exhibit door.

Sam followed the them curiously, trying to figure out why they're here.

Soon, the white haired teen saw that they were in what looked like an ancient artifact exhibit.

"So what did Mum say to find again?" Whispered one of the figures, who had a Birmingham accent.

"Uhh, some sorta giant Pearl." Answered the other, same accent.

"I think I found it!" Said the first, picking up a heavy, dark blue-colored pearl that is about the size of a honeydew melon.

"Alright, let's get out of here." Said the second.

"Not so fast!" Sam yelled, stepping out of his hiding place.

He sees the two figures are demonic-looking beings with long horns, pointed ears and red eyes.
They both looked identical, except for their color schemes. One has orange skin with golden hair, and the other has blue skin and silver hair.

With a deadpan expression, they glared at Sam in annoyance.
"Oh great, another one." Said the orange one.

"Seems like MK's brat ain't the only kid trying t'play hero." The Blue one commented to the other.

"I suggest you hand over that pearl right now." Sam demanded.

The demons smirk. "And what are you gonna do about it, lil' boy?" The orange one taunted.

As Sam tried to think of something, he noticed that Monkey girl sneaking up behind the demons and grabbing the pearl from them.

"Oy!" The blue one cried, turning to her.

With the pearl in her grasp, Xiao stops besides Sam.
"Jin and Yin." Xiao said, glaring at the two. "Stealing powerful artifacts, again?"

"Monkey Princess, trying to play hero, again?" Jin mocked.

Xiao growled angrily.

"You know them?" Sam asked, confused.

"Unfortunately." Xiao answered, keeping her eyes on the demons.
She then turned to face Sam. "Are you here to steal something too?"

"No, I'm actually trying to stop these guys. Same as you." He explained.

"Well then, you feel like kicking some bad Demon but?" Xiao suggested, setting the pearl down and then cracked her knuckles.

Sam smirked, forming a fighting stance. "Sounds good to me."

The two teens charge at the horned demons, both duo's launching attacks.

During the intense battle between the two teams, the level of aggression in their attacks escalated until Sam unleashed his Spinjitsu powers, inadvertently causing damage to a portion of the exhibit and triggering the alarms.

"Uh oh," Sam thought, realizing his mistake.

Xiao was left speechless by what she had just witnessed.
'What the Buddha was that?' She thought to herself.

"Well kids, it's been fun." Yin said, as he and Jin prepare to retreat.

"But we'll be taking our leave now." Jin added as he pulls out smoke bomb and throws it down.

As the two teens coughed, the two demons made their escape.

"C'mon, we gotta go after them!" Sam exclaimed, but Xiao stops him.

"Let them go. They didn't get the Pearl, and I doubt they'll be back anytime soon."

Sam sighs. "Your probably right. Let's go." He gestures the girl to follow him.

After making it outside onto a different rooftop, the teen duo watch as Police cars arrive at the museum, dumfounded by the huge disaster caused by, "You!" Xiao said, angrily glaring at Sam. "This is all your fault!"

"I know, I'm sorry." Sam apologised, looking ashamed.

"Thanks to you, my first shot at crime busting was...Well, a bust." Xiao huffed in frustration.

"At least the bad guys didn't get that giant blue orb thing." Sam stated, trying to lighten her mood.

"That 'giant blue orb thing' is The Baozhu pearl. One of eight ancient treasures of China." Xiao explained. "It has the power to grant wishes by giving a person their heart's desire."

"Wow, so I guess it would be really bad if it fell into the wrong hands." Sam concluded, chuckling to himself.

Xiao lets out a deep sigh and nods. "Yeah. But right now, it's not. So, it's cool." She shrugged casually.

"I gotta admit, you were pretty impressive back there. The way you snuck up on those guys and took the pearl from them." Sam praised.

A small smile crept on Xiao's lips. "Thanks. And that Energy tornado was super awesome."

"That 'tornado' was Spinjitsu." Sam pointed out.

"WHAT!" Xiao blurted out in shock. "Your a Spinjitsu Ninja!?"

"I'm still learning how to control it, but yeah." Sam admitted, looking slightly nervous as Xiao came in closer to him.

"Holy crap, this is awesome! A real Ninja! I've always wanted to meet one of you guys!" Xiao gushed enthusiastically.

"Really?" Sam smiled, raising a brow.

"Yeah! Both my Dad's have actually met the Green Ninja once. They said he was a nice guy." Xiao recalled fondly.

Sam chuckled. "Yeah, my Dad is a nice guy." He quickly slapped his mouth, realizing what he had just revealed.

Xiao squealed with delight, her eyes staring straight into Sam's. "Shut. Up! Your Dad is The Legendary Green Ninja!?"

'I am so gonna regret saying that.' Sam thought nervously.
He then cleared his throat.
"Yep, that's him." He answered and then pleaded. "But please don't make a big deal out of it, okay?

Xiao nodded eagerly. "Of course, I won't." She said reassuringly, then extended her hand. "My names Xiao."

The young Ninja took her hand and shook it firmly. "Sam."

They smiled at each other.

Xiao broke the silence. "So, is your Dad around?"

"No. Actually, he doesn't know I'm in China." Sam told her.

"What?! Then does that mean?-"

"I ran away from home." Sam finished.

Xiao frowned. "Why?"

"I'd rather not talk about it." The white-haired ninja decided.

"Fair enough." Xiao responded. "Are you staying anywhere?"

"I'm staying at a hotel right now." Sam explained. "Course it's only temporary." He added quickly.

Xiao thought for a moment, then she suggested. "Y'know, I have this teacher from school who owns a houseboat. His names Sandy. I bet he'd be willing to let you live with him."

"Yeah, sure. Thanks." Sam agreed with a shrug.

"Also, do you like cats?" Xiao asked suddenly.

Sam raised a brow at her. "Yeah, I do."

"Great, because he has like a dozen of them." Xiao answered, smiling happily.

'Wait, what?' Sam thought to himself before Xiao spoke again.

"We should totally meet up after school tomorrow! To talk with Sandy, of course. Then maybe later, we can hang out!" Xiao excitedly exclaimed. "I could introduce you to my friends and..."

"Woah, woah..I don't really hang out with others much," Sam began awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm not the sociable type."

Xiao's face dropped slightly. "Oh, come on. You'll have fun, trust me." She pleaded.

Sam bit his lip unsurely. He then turns away from her and folds his arms. "I don't even know you."

Xiao walks around the young ninja to face him once more. "Then you'll get to know me."

Sam frowns.

"Please?" Xiao begged.

Sam sighed in defeat. "Okay, alright, I'll think about it." He reluctantly replied.

Xiao grinned happily. "Perfect!" She then stood up and waved goodbye. "Bye Sam, see you tomorrow!"

"Hey!" Sam called out before she turned around and hopped off the building.

Once she was gone, Sam sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Man, what have I gotten myself into?" He muttered under his breath.

Suddenly, he realized, "Wait, what school does she even go to?"

Meanwhile, with Jin and Yin.

"Geez, Mum is not gonna be happy that we don't have that pearl." Jin commented, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

The two walked through an underground cave filled with moss and various glowing mushrooms.

"Maybe she'll be easy on us this time?" Yin suggested hopefully.

Jin rolled his eyes. "Let's hope so." The orange demon commented.

The two horned brothers reached the entrance to what looked like a small chamber.

"D'you think she might be asleep right now?" Yin wondered, peeking his head in.

Jin shrugged, stepping closer to the chamber entrance. "I dunno." He answered.

Just then, a loud crash was heard inside the chamber, followed by angry yells.
"BASTARD!" A woman's voice screamed.

Both of the boys stared wide eyed. Their mother was definitely awake.
Jin gulped nervously and slowly opened the door.
Yin stayed close behind his brother.
Inside the chamber, a middle-aged looking Fox Demoness sat crouching over one of the many tables, angrily smashing objects.
Seeing the pair enter the room, she rose to her feet, her expression changing from rage to delight.
"Boys, your home!" She yelled gleefully.

"Hi Mum, sorry if we were disturbing you." Yin greeted politely as he approached her.

"Not at all, honey. Did you get the pearl?" She inquired.

"Um, we did," Jin started nervously. "But then we lost it." He said sheepishly.

Fox Demoness raised her eyebrows questioningly. "What happened?"

"We got attacked by these two kids. Teenagers to be exact." Yin replied.

"Demon teenagers. One of them of the Monkie Kid's daughter." Jin added.

"Monkey Kid!?" The Fox Demoness repeated in anger. "You mean Sun Wukong's successor!?"

Both of the twins nodded with fear etched on their faces.
The Demoness was so furious.
She clenched her fists so hard that they turned white.
"ARGH! I guess we'll have to find another way to get my revenge on that wretched Monkey King." The Demoness declared as she grabbed ahold of a nearby chair and hurled it against the wall which destroyed it into thousands of pieces.

"We could always just go to Flower Fruit Mountain and steal some of Wukong's artifacts from his treasure room." Yin suggested.

"Yeah, we haven't done that in a while." Jin said, rubbing his hands together suggestively.

"We are not doing that again!" The White Vixen stated sternly.
"Besides, there's no doubt that some of his little Monkey friends would spot us." The Vixen pointed out.

"Oh yeah, your right." Both Jin and Yin replied.

Then the Vixen sighed. "Tell me about these teenagers. You said one is MK's daughter?" She asked.

"Yeah, her name is Xiao. She's got Fire powers like Red Son, her other Dad." Yin explained.

"I still don't know how those two even had a kid together." Jin noted, scrunching his face.

"We've been over this. MK is trans, remember?" Yin reminded.

"Right." Jin replied, nodding.

"Hold on. Do you mean to tell me, that the Monkie Kid and the Demon Bull Prince, are mated, and have a child?" Fox Demoness asked incredulously, her eyes wide with disbelief.

The boys gave her blank stares. "Yeah. I'm honestly surprised you didn't know that, considering you spy on them." Jin remarked.

The Vixen slowly grinned evilly. "Boys, I've thought up a new plan." She announced mischievously.
