Love & Hate

This chapter doesn't have much dialogue, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

It's about the villain of this story, and her growing obsession with revenge.

Note that there will be spoilers for future chapters of other LMK fanfics.

The Nine-Tailed Vixen's plan to ransom Bao was a big fail.

She underestimated the winged Monkey's ability to charm others.

The white fox growled, "Useless Pirates!" She spat as she observed Bao and a hybrid girl exchanging affectionate glances. "That brat is just like his father!"

She observed them through a crystal orb placed on a stone table, concealed by two red curtains.

Vixen has been obsessively spying on Sun Wukong, his family, and his successor, MK, disregarding their friends.

Her sole focus is her vengeful goal of seeking revenge on Wukong for breaking her heart centuries ago.

Before then, she and Wukong were close friends, and she even fell in love with him at one point.

But the Monkey King was already in love with that Princess Mushi girl.

The mere mention of her name evoked a bitter taste in the Demoness's mouth.

After Wukong announced his intention to marry the Princess, Vixen's heart was shattered, leading her to become vain, bitter, and cold.

After discovering that Vixen was responsible for Mushi's death, Wukong deemed her a monster and severed all ties with her, leaving Vixen consumed by a deep-seated hatred for him and anyone involved with him.

She did manage to feel some love for Jin and Yin's father, Cobalt. But that love soon faded after his death during a Demon/Human war.

Vixen still loves her twin sons dearly and is always beaming with pride whenever they get up to mischief.

That is, until she was first informed about MK and Leona.

A young noodle delivery boy chosen by the Monkey King to be his successor, and a reincarnation of the very Bitch that stole Vixen's first love.

Her fixation on revenge drove her to extreme lengths, even resorting to dark magic to achieve her twisted goals.
The crystal orb was a tool she used to keep a watchful eye on her enemies, fueling her desire for retribution.

Determined more than ever to take revenge on the Monkey King and his family, Vixen had attempted numerous schemes over the ages, but they often backfired, causing more problems.

She even attempted to seek help from Macaque after he returned from the dead, but the Six-eared Monkey was under the Lady Bone Demon's control at the time.

Vixen recalled Macaque saying, "Why would I want to help you, after what you did to Princess Mushi?"

It seemed that Macaque was also bewitched by that Princess.

So, the fox demoness began working on a new method to rid herself of the immortal stone ape. Meaning she had to resort to messing the ones he cared about.

Starting with Leona.

Vixen probably despised Leona nearly as much as Wukong.

Leona bore a striking resemblance to Mushi in both appearance and mannerisms.

During The Great Wall Race, Vixen paid a Crow Demon named Vasco to flirt with Leona and make her forget about Wukong.
However, the plan failed as Vasco declined the payment and pursued his dream career of becoming a journalist.

Next time, she'd get family members to do her dirty work. They'd never betray her.

She later discovered that Wukong's successor, MK had a romantic relationship with the Demon Bull King's son, Red Son.

Vixen found this new information intriguing, as it could potentially be used to her advantage.

During one Qixi Festival, she instructed her boys to ruin MK and Red's date, which led to her sister-in-law, Lilac getting involved, and punishing the twins and Vixen for their behavior.

Vixen's rage intensified upon learning that Wukong and Leona had a child.

Her fury burned hotter as she watched the crystal orb, witnessing the happiness between Wukong, Leona, and their newborn son, Bao.

The flames of hatred within her soul blazed brighter, fueling her obsession with seeking retribution for the pain she believed they had caused her.

Back to the present: Vixen utilized her magic to alter the images within the crystal looking-glass, observing another part of the school.

As Vixen gazed into the orb, she manipulated the images to focus on MK and Red Son's daughter.

She definitely appears to be a blend between the two.
Her hair is the same color as Red's', though it is much darker. And her eyes are light brown like MK's.

Vixen also noticed how small the girl was compared to the other students sitting next to her.

"This is the child that ceased my boys previous heist?" Vixen scoffed in disbelief, talking to herself. "Look at her, she's so tiny."

Vixen scrutinized the petite girl with a mixture of disdain and curiosity, pondering on how such a diminutive figure could have thwarted her sons' latest scheme.

She then recalled that the twins had spoken about another child, a white-haired boy who had previously interacted with the girl.

But the fox demoness didn't think the human youngling was that important; she just wanted to know more about the young redhead.

If she can't use Wukong and Leona's son as a tool for her revenge, then the child of his successor might suffice.

"Mum!" Jin and Yin called out to her. Vixen slowly turned away from the crystal orb, her eyes narrowing as she focused on her sons.

"Yes, my darlings?" She replied, her voice tinged with a mix of affection and calculation.

Jin and Yin exchanged a look before Jin finally spoke up. "We were just wondering when we're gonna make our move on MK and his family. Y'know, for your revenge?"

"Patients my boys," She smiled sweetly at them. "Don't worry your pretty little heads about your parts in my plan. First, we'll need to figure out when and 'where' to strike next."

"How about tonight?" Yin suggested, "I heard MK and Red are having their annual date night."

Vixen smirked, her tails lashing behind her back as she nodded in agreement. "Excellent. That means their daughter will probably be home alone with some babysitter. I'd say tonight should work perfectly."

She then looked toward her son's and asks, "Where does the Monkie Kid currently live?"

[Meanwhile, later that same day.]

School had finished for the day.

Sam had already discussed living arrangements with Sandy, who gladly agreed to let the young Ninja stay with him.

They, along with Xiao and her friends, visited the shabby apartment where Sam was residing.

After speaking with the landlord, who was eager to evict Sam, they collected his belongings and relocated everything to Sandy's houseboat.
