The Piney Woods Pack had settled into a rhythm of preparation and vigilance. The threat of Catharus was a constant shadow, but the pack had become a well-oiled machine, ready to face any challenge. The allies had fortified their bonds, and there was a sense of unity that permeated the air.

One chilly evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, a cold wind swept through the forest, sending a shiver down Scotty's spine. He was patrolling the western border with a group of warriors, their senses heightened and alert.

Suddenly, a sharp howl pierced the air. It was a distress signal from the northern border. Without hesitation, Scotty and his team shifted into their wolf forms, their powerful bodies propelling them swiftly through the forest.

When they arrived at the border, they found a group of pack members encircling a lone figure. It was Maxwell Barrington, bloodied and exhausted, leaning heavily against a tree. Wesley Moody-Barrington was at his side, his face etched with worry.

Scotty shifted back to human form and rushed to Maxwell's side. "What happened?"

Maxwell's voice was weak but urgent. "Catharus... he's not alone. There are more of them. They ambushed us on our patrol. We barely escaped."

Scotty's heart sank as he looked at the injuries on Maxwell and Wesley. "How many are there?"

"Too many," Wesley replied grimly. "At least a dozen, maybe more. They're organized and dangerous."

Scotty's mind raced. If Catharus had allies, the threat was far greater than they had anticipated. "We need to warn the others and prepare for an attack."

Maxwell nodded, his expression resolute. "I'll gather the pack. We need everyone ready."

As the pack members moved swiftly to alert the rest of the pack, Scotty helped Maxwell and Wesley to the healer's tent. The Piney Woods healers, skilled and compassionate, immediately began tending to their wounds.

Maxwell winced as a healer cleaned a deep gash on his arm. "They were relentless. It's clear they have a plan."

Scotty clenched his fists, anger and determination coursing through him. "We'll stop them. We won't let Catharus and his followers destroy what we've built."

News of the ambush spread quickly, and within an hour, the pack was assembled in the central clearing. Brent and Scotty stood before them, flanked by their trusted warriors.

Brent addressed the pack, his voice steady and strong. "Catharus has returned with reinforcements. They attacked Maxwell and Wesley's patrol. We must be prepared for an imminent attack on our territory."

The pack members listened intently, their expressions a mix of fear and determination. They had faced challenges before, but this was unlike anything they had encountered.

Scotty stepped forward, his eyes scanning the crowd. "We need to fortify our borders and ensure that every pack member is ready to defend our home. We'll work with our allies to coordinate our defenses."

As the pack members dispersed to prepare, Brent and Scotty gathered their most trusted warriors for a strategy session. Maxwell, despite his injuries, insisted on being part of the discussion.

"We need to coordinate with the other packs immediately," Brent said. "If Catharus is planning a coordinated attack, we need to be one step ahead."

Maxwell nodded, his jaw set with determination. "I'll contact the other leaders. We need to pool our resources and create a unified defense strategy."

As night fell, messengers were dispatched to the allied packs, carrying urgent requests for assistance. Brent and Scotty worked tirelessly

, overseeing the preparations and ensuring that every pack member knew their role.

By dawn, representatives from the other packs began to arrive. Ethan and Abigail Carter, Thomas and Maria Parker, Lucas and Emma Bennett, Claire Williams and Jessica Torres, and Daniel and Isabella Ruiz all brought reinforcements and supplies.

The leaders gathered in the Piney Woods' central clearing, their expressions grave but resolute. "We need a coordinated defense," Ethan said. "We'll divide our forces to cover all vulnerable points."

Thomas added, "We'll set traps and establish lookouts. We need to be ready for anything."

Lucas, ever the strategist, suggested, "We should also have a rapid response team ready to deploy wherever they're needed most."

As plans were finalized and roles assigned, Brent felt a renewed sense of hope. The alliance they had worked so hard to build was proving its strength in the face of adversity.

Throughout the day, the packs worked together, setting traps, fortifying borders, and establishing communication lines. Scouts were sent out to gather intelligence on Catharus's movements, and training sessions were held to ensure that everyone was prepared for combat.

As night fell once again, the leaders gathered around a fire, the flickering flames casting shadows on their determined faces. Brent looked at each of them, feeling a profound sense of gratitude for their unwavering support.

"We're ready," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "Whatever Catharus throws at us, we'll face it together."

The leaders nodded in agreement, their bond stronger than ever. They knew that the coming days would test their strength and resolve, but they also knew that they had each other.

As the fire crackled and the stars shone overhead, the packs of Texas stood united, ready to face the darkness and protect their home. They were more than allies; they were family. And together, they would overcome any threat, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before.
