Sameer entered his house to be greeted by his Nanu Jayprakash Maheshwari, who was waiting for him. He was a retired goverment employee and lived with his daughter Vishakha who worked as a senior assistant in a private company and grandson Sameer.

As he saw him, he congratulated him for his admission in M.Com but Sameer's answer made him realise the pain and dissapointment in his Grandson's heart.

Sameer sighed : aisa kaun sa teer maar liya maine Nanu , jo congratulate kar rahe hai. Koi naukri lagi hoti toh koi baat thi . Humare desh me padhne walon ki kami nahi hai.

Nanu : arey bhai wo bhi lag jayegi . Nirash kyun hota hai . Ye soch ki itna acha college mila hai . Iske baad kisi achi company me job mil jayegi.

Sameer sighed : pata nahi Nanu , par M.Com bhi toh isiliye karna pad raha hai na kyunki is saal na SSC clear ho paya aur na hi banking.  B.Com kiye huye pura ek saal beet gaya hai .job nahi lag payi. Ho jata toh phir abhi job kar raha hota, M.com nahi. Is degree ki zarurat hi nahi padti.

Vishakha came out from the kitchen : abhi se dil chota nahi karte Sameer . Abhi toh suruwat hai. Abhi hi haar maan lega kya ? Tum dekhna tumhe bahut achi naukri milegi. Mujhe bharosa hai is baat ka aur bhagwan pe bhi.

Sameer mocked with a chukle : Tumhe kitna bharosa hai na bhagwan pe....aur wo hai ki tumhe humesha life me tought challenges deta rehta hai . Unhone papa ko bhi tab hi cheen liya tha jab main bahut chota tha . Wo toh Nanu ke wajah se humari life thodi stable huyi .warna tumhare bhagwan ne toh puri planning kar rakhi thi hume sadak pe lane ki.....phir bhi jab dekho bhagwan bhagwan karti rehti ho.

Vishakha : kyun na karun.....wahi toh puri duniya ko chalate hai. Dekhna ek din tumhe bhi itni achi naukri denge ki tum bhi bologe ki bhagwan ke ghar der hai , andher nahi.

Nanu : waise tere munna ka kya hua ? Usey admission mili ?Dono toh 11th class se sath hi ho.

Sameer : Mere dept me wait list me hai . Keh raha hai ki wahin mili toh lega  warna nahi lega .waise bhi usey degree ka kya karna hai . Ultimately usey uske papa ka buisness hi sambhalna hai na.

Vishakha : acha chalo....ab khana kha lo. Mujhe bhi kaam sametna hai. Subah mujhe office bhi jana hai.

Sameer Maheshwari was a 23 years old  young charming dashing boy who was well educated and hard working. He had lost his father at a very small age due to an illness and hence was raised by his maternal grandfather . Since his Nanu had a transferable job so he had done most of his schooling from a boading convent in Nainital . Later when his Nanu got retired he settled in Delhi and by that time , Vishakha too had managed to get a job there based on her small prior experiences.
Being a responsible and understanding person , Sameer always understood that he was not born with a silver spoon. Though his Nanu did his best to provide him a comfortable life , but he well understood that he is the only hope of his family .
Vishakha was the only child of his father and Sameer too was a single child. Hence he was not only the apple of the eye of his family , but always felt the need to shoulder responsibilities.
He was good in studies , harworking and even shared responsibilities of his mother and nanu at home.

After his 10th from Nainital, he shifted to Delhi which was his Nanu's last posting from where he even retired . And it was here, where he met his only true friend of his life Manoj Maheshwari , who was popularily known as Munna . It was difficult to say that whether it was their common title or their nature that connected them, but they  were real friends. Inspite of coming from two different backgrounds , the two always felt a deep connection and shared their hearts. Munna was average in studies but with the help of Sameer, he had managed to score good in 12th grade and graduation.

After graduation , Sameer had no plans for M.com and hence was completely involved in preparing for govt. Jobs . But when he didnt get success , he decided to persue his studies furthur after a gap of one year, along with preparation for competitive exams.
Munna being the only son of his father besides having a sister, always had the pressure of joing his father's buisness . Since a small age he was often made to accompany his father to their showroom and shop but he did have a pain in his heart which he could never share with his family but Sameer.
He wanted to join defence system but being the only son, was strictly prohibited by his parents.Giving up his wishes, he followed whatever his family said and this brought him closer to Sameer. He would always envy the love ,support and freedom that Sameer got from his family ,but in a positive way . He had even voiced it out infront of Sameer and their six year long friendship had brought munna also, closer to Sameer's family. Sameer and Munna were true friends with pillar like support for each other .
And that is when sameer decided to pursue, M.Com ,munna too got tagged along to get some  extra life of 2 years where he would get some freedom from his family pressure.

On the other hand Naina agrawal was the only child of Rakesh Agrawal. She lived with her father and tauji taiji in Ahmedabad . But when she was in her 10th grade, her father lost his job and the two had to depend onTauji for a period . Since Tauji taiji were not so large hearted, Naina always felt like a burden to them . She had always led a compromising life and after her father lost her job ,she also had to bear the taunts . Her mother had died at a very early age and was raised by her youngest aunt ,Bela chachi who also lived in the same house.
But when Naina was in 7th class, her chachaji ,Anand Agarwal had got transfered to Delhi and lived there . He was a government officer and earned very well. Since both Anand and bela had big hearts, they always supported Naina ,inspite of having a son and a daughter .
It was by the effort of Anand, Rakesh Agrawal managed to get a job in delhi and the duo shifted to Delhi after Naina's 10th boards. Hence Naina had completed her 12th and graduation from Delhi.
When the duo had shifted to Delhi , Anand insisted them to stay with them but though Rakesh had little money , but he did have self respect . Fortunately he got a rented 1BHK flat in the same building and floor where Anand had bought his own flat.Hence the two families stayed seperately but close to each other . Life too had become better for Naina since Bela ,who had raised her since childhood ,took.care of her in Delhi.
