Scarlett's POV :

I am just about to climb into bed when my bedroom door suddenly bursts open..

As my door bursts open, i see the familiar face of Josh.

'What ar-' before i could even finish my sentence, Josh presses our lips together, i mean don't get me wrong, i really want this, but i just don't understand why he did it so suddenly, this doesn't stop me from kissing him back.

I slowly pull away from him, staring into his crystal blue eyes, neither of us saying anything, his hand sits on my neck, both of mine in his hair.

'Sorry i, uh i-' Josh stutters, taking his hand off my neck.

'its fine, you don't need to apologise.'

'Yes, i do, i don't- i didn't mean to do that,' he rubs the back of his neck, 'did.. did you like it?'

'I did, did you?'

'I loved it.' he says, inching his face closer to mine again, before i press my lips against his again.

The both of us pull away at the sound of Adams voice calling out, 'Im home!' from downstairs. Josh just gets up and walks out, what the hell? i sigh, and go downstairs to say goodnight to Josh and Adam.

'I thought i should come and say goodnight to my two least favourite people in the world.' i say with a smile.

'boooo, you suck.' Adam says, throwing a pillow at me.

'You know you love me, shut up.' i say giving Adam a hug.

'Night Josh,' i say, smiling and walking back upstairs.

'night.' he says, bluntly.

Josh's POV :

I cant believe i did that. I mean, i don't get me wrong i do not regret it, at all, but if Adam ever found out, he would probably smash my head in. I say goodnight to Adam and head up to my bedroom, but before i go in, i stop myself, instead i go into Scarlett's room. what am i doing? whatever. I sit on Scarlett's bed next to her. She turns to face me.

'Are you okay?' she asks, tucking her hair behind her ear.

'um, yeah.. listen we cant tell Adam about that little.. thing that happened before, okay? Because if we do both of us will be dead meat.'

'I know,' she says, looking down.

'It doesn't mean we have to stop..'

'You have a point there, Dunkley,' she says, pressing our lips together once again.

I sit, looking into her beautiful green eyes, getting lost in them, before resting my head on her shoulder, wrapping my arms around her waist.

We sit for a while, i rest my head in the crest of her neck, her hands running through my hair. 'are you okay?' she whispers.

'ahem, um yeah, sorry i don't know why i did that.'

'Its okay, i liked it,' she says, with that gorgeous smile plastered across her face. 'go to bed, its really late.'

'okay,' i say, standing up and walking to the door, before Scarlett says, 'Josh?'

'Yeah?'

She hops off of her bed and walks over to me, placing a kiss on my lips, she pulls away, going back to her bed, leaving me wanting more, so, so badly, but before i get anymore thoughts about that, i go back to my room and lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, remembering her distinct smell, her favourite flower, a lily. I let out a sigh before closing my eyes and going to sleep.

Scarlett's POV :

(The next day)

I wake up to the usual clinking of dishes down stairs, i look over to the clock on my bedside table, 6:53 am, perfect. I get out of bed, getting ready for the day. I decide to wear black dress pants and a brown sweater with a plain white t-shirt underneath. I pull the front pieces of my hair back into a half up half down. I do some very simple make up, just a bit of concealer, blush, mascara and a little bit of brown eyeshadow.

I head down stairs to see Adam and Josh both ready and eating their breakfasts, the two of them in their bulldogs training jumpers.

'Good Morning!' I say with a smile.

'Morning,' Adam says not looking up.

Josh doesn't even acknowledge me, he just sits staring down at his plate.

'Is everyone a bit grumpy this morning?' I ask, giving them both a look.

'No.'

'Whatever. We're leaving at 7:40.'

I make myself smashed avocado on toast, and a coffee, before heading back upstairs to pack my bag. I hear the familiar 'ding' of an email coming through on my laptop. The email reads :

'Hey Miss, majority of our class is wondering how the classes will be sorted for the footy thing we have today, so they "nominated" me to email you and ask. Thanks, Oskar.'

I realise its from Oskar, one of the best behaved students in the year 9 cohort, he is very quiet in class, and comes to my office quite a lot, and i know for a fact that he is a mad bulldogs supporter. After any game, he comes into my office and gives me his opinion on the game.

'Hi Oskar, you will be in classes, let me know if you have anymore questions!' I respond, sending it and closing my laptop. I quickly put my laptop into its case then into my work bag, along with my lunch, water bottle and anything else ill need for the day. I zip it up and put it on my bed. I take my phone off the charger, and put that, my airpods and my purse into my bag as well. I put on my airforces and check the time, 7:29 am. I head downstairs to see the boys finally out of their little moods.

'Ready to go?' I say with a smile.

'Yep,' Josh says.

The 3 of us go out to my car, and i get into the drivers seat, placing my bag down on the floor in front of the passenger seat, Adam sits in the the passenger seat, and Josh in the back.

'So how many kids are there actually going to be?' Josh asks.

'I'm not sure of the exact number in each year level, but theres 8 classes with roughly 25 kids in each, times that by 5 and thats about how many kids there will be, but its spilt up so today you have years seven, eight and nine, and then tomorrow you have tens and elevens.' i say.

'So like.. a lot.' Adam says.

'Yeah, but remember you'll have other teachers and a couple of students from year 12 helping you.' I say, pulling into the staff car park, parking my car and getting out.
