2 months later..

Today is the day i start my new job at the Royal Children's hospital with Chloe, who has quickly become one of my best friends. Chloe is picking me up, so i decide that 6 is a good time to wake up as my shift starts at 8:30. I get up and have a quick shower, keeping my hair dry.

I get dressed in the light pink scrubs that Chloe had gifted me, layering a grey crew neck over top, considering it's still the middle of winter.

I slip my feet into a pair of socks and putting on my new balance Cruz v3 shoes on. I go out into the kitchen to make myself a quick breakfast when i get the 'im here,' text from Chloe, so i quickly grab my bag and head out to the car, making my way over to the back door, and getting in.

'Hey Scar!' Chloe says excitedly, looking back at me through the rear view mirror. 'Pat doesn't have a car at the moment, so we are going in then he's taking my car and someone will come get us,' Chloe explains, pulling out of my driveway.

'I can see if Josh or Adam can come get us?' I ask, 'I'm pretty sure Josh has something on in the city later so he could come get us after that?' I suggest.

'Sounds good, Pat can you ask Josh at training?' Chloe asks, merging into the next lane.

'Yeah, i'm sure he'll be thrilled to come get you guys,' he says sarcastically.

'Sucks to be him i guess,'  Chloe says, causing Pat and I to erupt in laughter. 'Guys I know i'm funny, i didn't know i was that funny oh my god.'

'You're very funny,' Pat says, 'Joshy boy told me you guys hooked up again,' He says to me, causing Chloe's eyes to widen.

'Again?' She asks, i had completely forgotten to tell her about any of the times.

'um. yeah, that's none of your concern Patrick.' I say, with a nervous chuckle.

'How many times? What the fuck? How didn't i know about this?' Chloe says, speaking very fast.

'Slow down, Chlo. We've hooked up like 5 times i think?' I say, shrugging my shoulders, 'Neither of you can mention this Adam, yes?' i say, earning i nod from both of them.

'And you said this wasn't my business,' Pat says, shaking his head, earning himself a slap on the back of the head from me. 'Ouch.'

'Weak,' Chloe says, causing Pat and I to erupt in laughter again.

'When did you become so funny' Pat says.

'Guys im not that funny chill out.' Chloe says, pulling into the staff car park.

'Bye Paddy,' She says, placing a kiss on her boyfriends lips, 'Don't forget to tell Josh!' She says as we walk into the building.

Chloe introduces me to the lady working at the front desk, who's name is Diane, before she takes me into the staff room where we can put our bags into lockers. We then head over to meet the lady who tells everyone what to do, Nurse Hayley.

'So, we're throwing you into the deep end, you're working in the ED, Olivia will be working with you so you can get the feel of the job.' Nurse Hayley says, a smile on her face.

'Hey! I'm Olivia, so as you know, you and i will be working closely together in emergency, we're going to be working with grade 1 patients, or patients who need immediate help, sound good?' She explains, leading me out to the waiting room. I give her a nod.

Not long before Olivia explained this, a small boy came in with croup like symptoms. Olivia had instructed me to take the little boy into an examination room while she got the parents to fill out any information they needed to just outside the door.
