The full moon

As the daylight fades, a sense of anticipation fills the air. "It's time, Jack. Get into position. We'll be close by," the enigmatic and mysterious Phantom says

"Alright, you guys better stay close," I say

"Don't worry, we will now get out there," James says

I leave the cabin, and I stand around some random trees. I look at the sky and see the full moon casting an eerie glow over the scene. I start to feel dizzy and lightheaded, and I pass out a minute later.

James's POV

Phantom and I are hiding behind a wall close by. "Jack will be fine. Right?" I ask, my voice filled with concern.

"Yes, this is normal for people who change for the first time," Phantom says

We see a werewolf grab Jack and run off into the forest. "let's move," I say

We follow the werewolf through the forest until we end up in a vast clearing with many crude buildings and werewolves everywhere. We both hide in nearby bushes. "So this is the place we need to find a way in," Phantom says, his voice barely a whisper.

"Dude, we're shapeshifters. We can hide among them," I say

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Phantom says

"Yeah, of course," I say

"Alright, this better not backfire on us," Phantom says

"Don't worry, it won't," I say, Changing into a werewolf.

"It better not. I'd rather not fight an entire pack," Phantom says, changing into a dark werewolf.

"Alright, now we just sneak in and blend in until we find Jack," I say, my voice filled with a mix of determination and uncertainty.

"How are we going to find him?" Phantom says

"I don't know, we just have to look around," I say

"How are we going to sneak in?" Phantom says

"We could talk our way in," I say

"Considering I'm going along with your plan, you should do the talking," Phantom says

"Alright, let's do this," I say

We leave the bushes and make our way toward the buildings. "I hope you know what you're doing," Phantom says

"Trust me, I got this," I say

Two werewolves stop us. "hold on, you two, what's your business here?"

"The alpha asked to see us," I say

"Good, he's expecting you two. Follow us"

We follow the werewolves to a building. "is he in there?" I say

"Yes, and now go. He doesn't like waiting."

We go inside and see a werewolf with a burn on his right eye. "Good, you're here."

"Why did you want us here?" I say

"I've been having a problem with this other alpha."

"Let me guess, you want us to get rid of him," Phantom says

"Exactly. He's been a pain for me and my pack."

"Why, what has he done?" Phantom says

"He's been making my life hell; he's been taking out members of my pack and been causing problems for my boss."

"Your boss?" Phantom says

"Yes, if you want, he could explain the situation."

"Please do. I've never heard of an alpha having a boss before," Phantom says

"Wait here. I'll be right back."

He leaves the building. "Boss, what is he talking about?" I say

"I don't know, but keep your guard. We need to find our opportunity to strike," Phantom says

"I'm starting to regret this," I say

"Don't. Your crazy plan has got us this far. We can't back out now," Phantom says

"Hold on a second. Why are you being so kind to me now? In my nightmares, you were always so harsh," I say, my voice trembling with a mix of confusion and hurt.

"Because you're my brother, and I was trying to make you remember I may have taken it a bit far. I'm sorry about that," Phantom says

"Alright, I'll forgive you, but please don't do anything like that again," I say, my voice tinged with a mix of forgiveness and caution.

"Thanks, I'm happy you forgive me," Phantom says

"I only forgive because Jack has told me always to give people another chance no matter what. I hope I don't regret it," I say.

"You won't," Phantom says

The werewolf returns with someone. "these are the two wolves that will take care of our problem."

"Hello, you two. I heard from Mitch that you will take care of Clyde. You know the other alpha."

When he walks up to me, I realize it's Carl. I use all my willpower not to attack him right there. "yep, that's right." I say, trying to hold back my anger

"You know, you remind me of James. He was always a good test subject. It's a shame he found the truth," Carl says

"Anyways, we'll get going to do this," Phantom says

"Oh, you won't be going anywhere," Carl says

"Why don't you want this problem solved?" Phantom says

"Don't play dumb. I know you two are trying to take out Mitch," Carl says

"Why would we do that?" I say

"James, drop the act. I know it's you." Carl says

"Well, I guess we're doing this the hard way then," Phantom says

"You're going to regret this," I say

"You can't hurt me unless you want Jack to suffer," Carl says, his voice dripping with a mix of arrogance and menace.

I see another werewolf come in. "Jack, take care of them," Mitch says

I hesitate to do anything because I don't want to hurt my best friend.
