Ch 6 Beautiful Magic

Yeji immediately found Lia and Chaeryeong when she passed the empty field area. Then she proceeded to land to find out the evil creatures had been taken care of. After she ensured Ryujin landed safely, Yeji caught up with her sister.

"Are you guys okay? What happened?" She saw the three hyena corpses on the ground.

"We are okay. Lia beat those demons." Chaeryeong answered. She was still holding her twin swords.

"Hey, don't let me take all the credit. You help me too, you know?" Lia gave a knowing glance to Chaeryeong.

The redhead smiled sheepishly. She only lured the enemies away and gave Lia time to target them. It was not that huge, but Lia acknowledged her effort that much.

"Chaeryeong! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Ryujin ran to Chaeryeong's arms quickly.

The redhead caught the petite girl in her arms. "Hey, I'm okay, you see? You don't need to worry."

Ryujin shook her head and buried her face deeper in Chaeryeong's embrace. "I'm sorry, I just worry too much."

"It's okay, Ryu. I'm fine. I even helped Lia to kick those creatures' asses!" The Korean girl mentioned proudly.

"Really?! Did you use the swords technique?" Ryujin's face brightened instantly. She had seen Chaeryeong's sword martial arts before; it was impressive! To think her best friend could fight those creatures without magic amazed her.

The Korean girl nodded. "Hmm. My long training finally paid off!"

Lia noticed her sister quietly observed their interaction. Yeji wore blank expressions, but somehow, her eyes gave some weird look. The young healer felt something was off but decided not to pursue it now. She could ask Yeji the other time.

Then, the young healer inspected the remaining creature's corpse with the people from the magical force. She had already reported the incident to the village magic forces. To her surprise, she learned that the village barrier was still intact.

"We didn't notice the creatures passed by the barrier; that was why the alarm was off after the creatures caused a ruckus on the market." The magical force associate in charge of the field gave testimony.

"What? So even the barrier could not detect it?" Lia gave a displeasure a look after she learned about the incident.

"We are sorry, Ms. Hwang. We apologize for causing you trouble, but we appreciate your helping us take down this creature." The Gibraltar Magic Force Associate leader bowed to Lia.

"This is weird," Yeji said after she looked at the area. "I found the remaining energy of summoning magic."

"What did you say?" This information caught Lia off guard.

"I have inspected the corpses with my magic. I found the remaining energy of summoning magic, which is weird since this is uncommon." Yeji muttered the information.

"What is going on?" Ryujin stared at them with confused expressions.

"The barrier protects the village from evil creatures. If an evil creature wants to go to the village, the barrier will hold them since it has powerful magic defense energy."

"However, since the Magic Force Association told us that they didn't notice the breakout and only alert after the creatures were there, this hyena didn't break the barrier."

"So, how did the demons appear in the village?" Ryujin continued to pry.

"With Yeji's information, it's obvious someone used summoning magic to summon the hyenas to cause uproar in the village," Lia concluded.
