Elliot POV
Usually, when Dakota picks up Eli she'll completely avoid me and hurry back to Brendan, but today he goes to her mother and she comes up to me."Hey, Dak..." I'm cut off when, she kisses me; I automatically wrap my arms around her waist to pull her closer.
We don't pull away, until both of us need to breath. "I have something to tell you, but I don't want to say it here."
I smile, "Okay. I'll be here for about thirty minutes, then I can take you to a restaurant or something like that."
She smiles, "Can we go to your house? Not like anything like that. But I want to be somewhere you're comfortable."
I nod, "Yeah. But what about Eli?"
She tilts her head to her mom, Cary, who smiles and takes Eli out the door, "I got my mom to watch him."
I smile and thirty minutes later, take her to the same truck I've had since I was sixteen.
"So, how did you meet Brendan?"
She smiles, "At Auburn."
I make an O with my mouth and giggles, "How'd you meet the girl you're still hung up on?"
I scratch my chin, "Uh... In my sophomore biology class."
She looks confused for a minute, then she gets it, "You haven't had a girlfriend since... me?"
I shake my head, "Nope. You were my last girlfriend."
She blushes just as we pull into my house, "Wow! This is so, much nicer than my apartment."
I laugh and pat the couch beside me, "What did you need to tell me?"
She sits down and looks at her hands like she does when she's nervous,
"Eli. He's your..."She pauses and I pull her into my lap, "He is?"
She nods and I smile, "Really?"
She nods again and this time I kiss her, "I love you, Kota. Wait... Did you try to tell me?"
She nods, "The day you told me we should call it off. That was the news I had."
I feel like the worst person on this earth, "I'm so, sorry. I would've stayed if I'd have known that."
She smiles, "It's okay. I know you would've. But you were doing what you thought was best."
I laugh and kiss her again. The next thing it know is her legs are around my waist and I'm carrying her to my room.

I wake up to go to work and see Dakota lying next to me. She's absolutely the most gorgeous girl I've laid my eyes on and she opens her eyes. Those light blue eyes that melt my heart every time I look in them, "Good morning?"
I smile and she looks at the time, "Oh, crap I'm gonna be late for work."
She told me about the newspaper she works for and we talked about college, Eli, pretty much everything we could think of, "It's on my way to the school I can drop you off."
She smiles then, falls back on the bed in frustration, "I wore those clothes, yesterday."
I don't know what to tell her and she stands up, "Drop me off at my apartment. You can pick up Eli and take him to school and I'll grab some clothes and tell him goodbye."
I nod, "Sounds good. Lets go."
We get to her apartment and Eli smiles, "Mom! Did you get back together with him?"
She smiles and bends down to him, "Who told you about that?"
He smiles and points to Cary, "She also, said Mr. Buckley is Dad."
Dakota nods and he walks up to me, "Hello, Mr. Dad."
I laugh and Dakota smiles behind me, "At school you'll have to call him, Mr. Buckley."
He nods and Dakota tells him I'm going to take him to school. I drive there as slowly as I can enjoying the hyper-ness of my son.

Dakota POV
I got into work in record time today and my boss, Mr. Dash, smiles, "Congratulations, Dakota. You are now, the Bureau Editor."I smile, "Thank you so, much sir."
He nods and hands me the information to get into my new office.
At 3:30, three weeks after that day I walk out of it and to my apartment.
When I get there I see Eli and Elliot sitting on the couch, "Well. I didn't expect to see this."
They smile up at me and I go into my bedroom where I change my clothes into something a little more comfortable.
"Do you guys want me to order a pizza?"
Eli nods and Elliot smiles, "Yeah that sounds good."
We sit together on the couch and watch a movie while, we are waiting for the pizza; And finish it as we eat,
"Okay. Time for bed Eli."
He smiles and hugs Elliot before, walking with me to his bedroom, "Mom?" I smile, "Yes, Eli?"
He smiles and looks me direct in the eyes, "You should marry, Mr. Buckley. And I accidentally called him Dad today in school."
I laugh and kiss his forehead, "Okay. And that's fine... Goodnight, Eli."
He smiles and blows me a kiss, "Goodnight, Mommy."
I make my way back to Elliot and he smiles, "You guys should move in with me."
I smile, "What?"
He smiles and wraps his arm around me, "Move in with me?"
I smile and nod, "Yeah. I'd love to move in with you."
He smiles and kisses me, "Good."
