I spent three months planning the wedding and now, it's finally here.
I put on the dress and my mom helps me with my makeup and hair, "Dakota you look so, beautiful."
I almost cry with her, but I hold to it together, "Mom don't cry. You're gonna make me cry."
She composes herself and the music starts, "You ready."
My brother fills in for my Dad who died when I was twenty and my mom is on the other side, "Yeah. Lets go."
They walk me out and as soon as I see Elliot with Eli as his best man I almost cry, "Who gives this woman away."
My brother and mom both say, "We do."
I step up and take Elliot's hands, "We are gathered here today to see this man and this woman be united in holy matrimony. They have prepared there own vows. Elliott."
Elliot takes the microphone, "I will never forget the day sixteen year old Dakota Howe walked into my biology class. She didn't know at the time that I would someday be standing in front of her, but I did. I loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you and the moment I laid eyes on you again. You have given me a world, you have given me a family. I love you and I will for the rest of my life."
Then, Eli pulls on his pant leg after, he finishes, "Can I talk?"
He hands Eli the microphone and he smiles, "So, all of you people know my mommy and all of you know my daddy. In this life they say you don't get to pick who you are in family with. But if I had i would still had chosen them. My Mom and Dad would be exact who they are now. I love you, Mom and Dad."
We both bend down and hug him, "We love you, too."
Then, he hands the mic to the efficient, "Well. That was pretty adorable let us see if his Mom can top that."
I take the mic and start to speak, "When, you asked me out in biology class I had no idea what to think. I had know idea of what I was in store for. Even when we weren't together and you had no idea Eli was your son. You seemed to know that he was. I saw you and all the love I had for any other man in this world left. From now, on I will be yours. I will not allow you to ever... Leave again. And I promise to love you most in the world besides our kids. Yes, I said kids... Elliott I'm pregnant. And this time I actually told you."
He hugs me and we put on the rings, "You may kiss your bride."
He kisses me and I laugh when, he kisses me again before, acting like he forgot the guests were there.
"Oops, sorry."
We walk off the stage dancing and I couldn't have been happier.
