Two months. Two months of being ignored by Gryffindors and most of the Slytherins for May. She didn't really mind it, but she missed her brother. She missed messing with random objects and laughing with him. She missed his smile and the way his glasses always had a thin layer of dust on them, even after he cleaned them. She missed the way his hair stuck up at all angles, the way it was never tidy.

May sighed as she walked to the Great Hall. She entered the Great Hall to millions of decorations lining the walls in orange, black, and purple. Halloween. She turned to the Gryffindor table slightly and saw her brother looking at her sadly. She could feel tears prick her eyes and turned on her heel. She walked swiftly until she was a corridor away from the Great Hall entrance. She slid down the hall and let the tears flood her eyes. Halloween had always been her and Harry's favorite holiday, with the candy freely given to them and the chance to stay alone in their cupboard, away from the Dursleys with their fancy sweets and ice cream.

May looked up from her sleeves, which she had been wiping her eyes with, to Draco looking down at her. She watched as he knelt down to sit beside her and brought her into a warm hug. She snuggled into him and cried silently. He brushed her hair lightly and whispered comforting words into her ear. When May finally pulled away from the embrace, she saw that she had made a stain with her mascara and tears. "S-Sorry about your shirt," May said shyly as she looked down at her hands. "It's okay. May I ask why you were crying?" Draco whispered. May gulped and said, "I-I don't really want to talk about it." Draco nodded knowingly and dropped the subject. He entangled himself from May, much to her dismay. He was warm and she felt so at home in his arms. He stood up and held his hand out to help May up. She took it and Draco pulled her up with one great pull. She wiped her eyes and tried to make herself at least a little presentable. "Do you want to go get some breakfast now?" Draco asked. May contemplated just going up to her room to disable any chances of her seeing Harry, but decided to go with Draco after looking into his beautiful grey eyes. She nodded and let him pull her to the Great Hall.

May looked down as she entered the Great Hall. She let Draco guide her to the Slytherin table and sat down. Draco sat next to her and grabbed a piece of toast. He offered it to her and she nodded stiffly. He set the toast on her plate and grabbed one for himself.

May picked up the toast and nibbled at the corners. She put it down on her plate and closed her eyes for a moment. She opened her eyes to a very worried Draco. "You okay?" He asked. May nodded and found herself looking across the hall at her brother. He was having a great time without her. Draco followed her gaze and glared at Harry. May sighed and looked down at her plate. "Come on. Lets get out of here," Draco said, standing up. May nodded, silently.

Draco led May through the halls and out into the open field. He grabbed her hand and started walking faster towards to the quidditch pitch. They slowed their pace when they entered the field reserved for games of the famous wizarding sport called quidditch. May gazed at the tiers surrounding the long field of grass with 3 hoops on each opposing side for the players to score 10 point goals. May had seen a quidditch game played by the gryffindor and slytherin teams. Her brother seemed to be a natural at the sport and was accepted into the team. May got to see her brother in action during their first flying lesson and on the pitch. He was swift and had a keen eye, making him perfect for the seeker position.

Malfoy cleared his throat and May finally broke from her thoughts and looked at him. She smiled softly as he led her to the center of the field. He sat on the grass and motioned for May to do the same. She laid down on the grass next to him and closed her eyes, thoughtfully. Draco watched her carefully and looked away when May opened her eyes from the silence. "So... Why did you bring me here?" May questioned. "I thought you needed some cheering up and I figured fresh air would be best to clear your mind," Draco explained, smiling slightly without noticing. May nodded and closed her eyes once more. "Sometimes I wish I could run away from everyone and everything. Just so I could know what it felt like to not care about others. To not care about myself, but I know that would only make things worse," May opened her eyes in realization of her current situation.

"I-I need to go. So-sorry," She stuttered as she got up, hurriedly. She ran to the castle and into her dorm in the Slytherin common room.

She didn't feel like running up all those stairs to the Gryffindor common room. Dumbledore had decided to let her have a room in both houses and in both she didn't even have to share her room with any other people! Mostly because no one would ever want to room with her.

May collapsed on her bed and looked at the ceiling blankly. She knew she couldn't be seen with Draco, because she was Harry Potter's twin sister. What would happen if Harry saw them together? And yet, she didn't care. She liked hanging out with Draco. He helped her when she was down and he didn't ask questions. He just accepted that she didn't want to talk about it and helped her anyway.

She made up her mind. She just wouldn't hang out with Draco around Harry. Oh but that would be too difficult. Harry was everywhere. Her life would be way less complicated if she had just been sorted into Slytherin. Harry could never hate her if the hat had just chosen a house, right? Oh now she was contradicting herself.

She stood up abruptly and walked swiftly out of the common room. She needed to get her mind off things and well might as well wander the castle was her thinking.
