4. Interpersonal Relationships and Interactions with Others
4.2 Nature of Relationships
It's not just about how often we communicate with someone, but also about the quality of those interactions. Who shares our sense of humor? Who supports us? With whom do we feel uncertain? These insights can help us consciously shape and improve our relationships. With whom do you feel good when you message them? With whom do you never have to think about how you write something? With whom do you maybe rewrite your sentences five times? And why? Is it because you don't know the person well yet? Because you don't want it to be misunderstood? Because you generally feel insecure in contact with others?
With whom do you never have to think about what you write or how you write it because they understand you and never judge you? Write or tell those people how much you appreciate this, as showing mutual appreciation and acceptance is crucial in interpersonal relationships, never forget that!
Once you've identified whom you feel comfortable with, what do these people have in common that can make you feel good? What characteristics do you appreciate about them? Because this also says something about you. Being aware of this can help you find people who are good for you more quickly. Conversely, how about the people you don't like? This can also help you identify people you don't harmonize well with more quickly.
What is your communication behavior like? Are you satisfied with your communication behavior? Should you adjust something to better meet your social needs (in a time of Bumble and Co, social media also offers a great way to make new contacts, but you should always be careful online!)
What do you write about with people, what are your conversation topics, and how do you write it (short, long, detailed, humorous, serious, sarcastic)?
Have you ever saved a conversation on WhatsApp and then asked ChatGPT how he would analyze the relationship and communication? Try it out!
