Children of the Future

Chapter 3

Howdy, it's Sen again. We're back into this story with Aether now going to meet the rest of the kids.

By the way, I'll leave the mother's child and their age at the end of every chapter but I'll do so at the start here too since I haven't made it consistent yet as well as the other three since they'll be relevant shortly. 

Also, I fixed the tags on ao3 but I'll adjust them again if something comes up.

Anyway, to the story

Ayaka - Ayame 14

Upon finishing their business, Aether and his group left the Plane of Euthymia and Ei decided to join them to spend more time with her daughter. She and Yae would return with the rest of them to the Kamisato Estate to regroup with the rest of the kids there.

Upon arriving, Thoma was quick to bow as were the other guards they ran into on the way.

"Y-Your Excellency and Lady Yae! Welcome!" he welcomed them inside. Though, he felt understandably uncomfortable for two different reasons: the Archon of Inazuma being here as well as the tease Yae Miko who he's fallen victim to before but won't admit openly to.

"We do apologize for the intrusion," Ei bowed slightly.

"Sorry for the shock, Thoma," Aether apologized too.

"So, any luck with finding a way for the kids to get back home?" Thoma asked him. Aether shook his head but explained that it wasn't the end of the world.  Thoma also agreed that it was fine to have the kids around. Speaking of, the other three were a joy to have around as he had been keeping them entertained while they were gone.

Heading inside, they made some tea before discussing the next move.

"What do you plan to do now, Aether?" Yae asked him.

"I have a few thoughts. I can retrace my steps and see if the other Archons I've met know anything," he told them.

"Oh! That's true! Maybe Tone-deaf bard might not know anything but Mr. Zhongli might be able to help us!" Paimon exclaimed.

Aether nodded, "Mm. Worst case, maybe Nahida will be able to help."

"Man, you're a lucky person to be able to talk about The Seven so casually, Aether,"  Thoma joked.

"Hehe. I've been through a lot in my journeys so far. Still, it'll be nice to catch up with everyone in Liyue and Mondstadt so that's why I'm back tracking once my business is done here in Inazuma."

"Speaking of Mondstadt, Lady Ayame, you probably want to introduce there rest of your siblings," Thoma pointed to the three kids who stayed there with him.

"I guess there's no harm in that," she shrugged and called them over. All three lined up for them with a small blonde going first. She wore a mix of blue and white on her dress.

"Hi, Daddy! I'm your daughter with Jean from the Knights of Favonius, Carolyn! I'm also 8 years old!" she did a light curtsy for him before giggling. Meanwhile, Aether had to hide his blush from a smug Paimon.

"Paimon called it! You totally had the hots for Master Jean!"

Next was the brunette who had a purple dress while wearing a familiar purple hat that Aether knew he'd seen somewhere before.
