I'm back again! This chapter, we continue with Ningguang and Aether's family outing. That and a little something at the end but you'll have to wait and see for that. Though, it will answer some question people might have had regarding the story.

Aether and Ningguang paid several smaller villages a visit. Mostly to see how they were fairing as well as to entertain Shuijing. Shitou was busy taking notes of the villages' conditions and planning how to improve them. Being rich was one thing but a nation was only as strong as the people who make it up. The way he saw it, he needed everyone to prosper even if it meant monetary sacrifice.

In the current village, the representative has already informed the Tianquan about the numerous treasure hoarder activity near their area.

"We should send some more Millelith patrols around this area," Shitou suggested.

"You know, we could always take a look around while we're here. Might as well try to take out any camps we find," Aether made a suggestion of his own.

"You would do that? Thank you!" the man thanked them.

Aether smiled and waved back before jumping off with Paimon trying to follow.

"Hey! Wait for Paimon!!" she screamed.

A few minutes later, Aether returned with a smile.

"I found two camps. Don't worry, I've dealt with them already."

"That quickly?!" Ningguang asked, surprised.

"They were pushovers. I made quick work of them," he said proudly.

Shuijing walked up to him, "You did a good job, Daddy! Here, have this! Mama always said to reward people when they do a good job!"

She walked to Aether and gave him a piece of candy. The blonde smiled and rubbed the little girl's head while Ningguang chuckled lightly.

"Hey! What about Paimon?!"

Shuijing reached into her pocket and pulled one out for her too. Paimon ate it happily before they all left once more. As they walked, Ninggung had to commend Aether for his efforts so far.

"I must admit, Im rather impressed by what you've been doing so far. Being able to assist every village we've visited and with such ease," she complimented him.

"It really isn't much trouble. If anything, it keeps me warmed up in case something bigger shows up. I'm more impressed with Shitou's work. He really takes after you with how deep he gets into it."

Ningguang nodded, "I agree. Seeing him now, I can rest easy knowing Liyue Harbor will be in goods hands with him.

Shitou, who heard them, rubbed the back of his head, "I still have much to learn. Disregarding my political skills, I feel my combat prowess is somewhat lacking."

"Really?" Paimon tilted her head. "You looked pretty good to Paimon. You beat up those lawachurls without breaking a sweat."

"I was referring in comparison to my siblings. I feel the gaps growing wider but my duties have made it... difficult to find the time to train."

Aether disagreed, "Yeah, but your technique was almost flawless. You're really saying that you're lacking?"

"I just do mental training to refine my techniques. However, I would prefer to do it in the physical world."

Ningguang put a hand on his shoulder, "That is admirable. Though, you should remember that you don't have to shoulder so much on your own. Relying on other people makes for a good balance."

Shitou nodded, "I understand, Mother. I just want to be able to pull my weight."

"Believe Paimon, kid, you've been doing plenty of that," she smirked.
