Robin's POV...

When I arrived at work that morning, I was greeted by Patrice and a tupperware container of her oatmeal raisin cookies. Patrice is notorious for giving people cookies when she thinks that they are upset. Today, she just laid the entire container on my desk I must have looked very down to her.

"Hey, Robin. What's wrong? Are you suffering from more separation anxiety. I know how you feel. When I had to leave my husky puppy, Toby for the first time I was devastated and I cried for so long..." Patrice rambled on for another minute before I yelled at her to stop.

"Nobody asked for your welcome committee, Patrice!" I yelled.

Patrice apologized and asked if I wanted the cookies off of my desk. But I apologized for snapping at her; which was a first, and told her to leave them there.

In all honesty, I was getting used to the empty feeling of not having you around me 24/7. But today I was especially anxious because it was the first time I left you alone with Katie. My worrying about the two of you affected my ability to focus on my work. While I did a piece on the news about a man discovering a severed toe in his coffee at Starbucks, I thought about your safety. What if you had gotten hurt or ran a fever?

During my lunch break at 12:30PM, I decided to call Katie and check in on you. Sure enough, my suspicion of your safety being in jeopardy was confirmed when Katie sent me a text and told me that you had escaped the apartment. I didn't have time because I was so shocked, so I called daddy right away and told him what was going on.

"I'm so sorry, honey. I should have known it was a bad idea to leave Juliette with Katie. I can only imagine the kind of mother she would be" daddy said.

"It's alright. It's sweet that you had so much faith in her. She'll appreciate that. I just think we have to find someone else to look after her" I responded.

"But first we have to find Juliette. I'll meet you at MacLaren's" daddy said.

"Good idea. Maybe Ted and Tracey know where she is" I replied before we hung up.

Zoey's POV...

I had just finished drying my hair in preparation for a date with my new boyfriend, Jay. I hadn't been with anyone since Ted and I broke up. I was too busy fighting for the rights of the unheard. I actually met Jay during a strike against the Puppy Mills. It was an organization where people took orphaned puppies and abused them for their own selfish purposes. The idea of such sweet companions being treated so poorly sickened me. Jay and I had been together for almost half a year and we were living together. I was shocked to discover that you and your parents lived across the hall.

As I finished applying my makeup and zipped up my jean skirt, I heard a gentle knock on the door. I was going to put on my earrings once I had finished applying my makeup, but I figured the earrings could wait. Jay would not be here for another hour, anyway.

I opened the door to find you down on all four and looking up at me with curious and confused eyes. I wondered what you were doing alone before I picked you up off the moss green carpeting of the doorway and took you into my apartment. I had heard through the grapevine that your daddy had gone back to work, so I wondered who was supposed to be taking care of you.

Two minutes into having you in my care, I received text messages from your parents asking if I knew where you were because they were worried sick. Apparently, Ted, Lily or Marshall had not seen you all day. I immediately responded to both text messages saying that you were safe and sound with me. Your mother replied: Thx so much, Zoey. We'll be there soon. U r a lifesaver.
