Ayanokoji was training in the forest when Satsuki approached him.

Ayanokoji: Satsuki?

Satsuki: My entire family. They're all dead.

Ayanokoji: Dead? What happened?

Satsuki: My brother Itachi... he killed them. My entire clan.

Ayanokoji: Itachi? He didn't seem like that kind of person.

Ayanokoji- There's something going on behind the scenes but what? Hmm. I guess I'll have to investigate a little.

Ayanokoji: Is it alright if we go back there?

Satsuki: How can you be so calm!?

Ayanokoji: I need to confirm something.

Satsuki: Fine. Do what you want.

Uchiha District

They came to the scene.

Ayanokoji: They already took the bodies away huh?

Ayanokoji looked to a spot where a child had died.

Ayanokoji: Itachi's specialty was his sword right?

Satsuki: Yeah he was using one on the day as well. Why the hell are you asking that!?

Ayanokoji: This spot. There's no blood. Seems like a mercy kill.

Satsuki: You mean...

Ayanokoji: He must have killed the child a different way. Most likely more humanely. He wasn't heartless during the killing. There's something going on that we don't know about.

Ayanokoji scanned the area with his eyes but couldn't find anything else.

Ayanokoji: If the bodies were still here I could at least confirm how they died.

Ayanokoji moved into the living room.

Ayanokoji: There was a bit of a struggle here. The papers are scattered on the floor and the table leg is broken. They fought back. A lot of blood and some splatter to the side suggesting a movement to get the blood of a sword.

Ayanokoji- What is going on here? Why would Itachi kill members of his own clan? This doesn't make any sense.

Ayanokoji: Did he give you a reason?

Satsuki: He said to test the limits of his ability.

Ayanokoji: That makes no sense. That was not the man that I understood him to be.

Satsuki: He said his old self was a facade.

Ayanokoji: No... Back then I saw genuine care in his eyes for you. Something else is going on. From what I've gathered there must be some kind of reason for what he did. We're just missing a few pieces.

Satsuki: Our clan's Kekkei Genkai. The Sharingan. It activates via Trauma.

Ayanokoji- He was attempting to traumatize himself for power? No... He was a member of the Anbu special division. He must have been plenty strong already. He was definitely not the power-hungry type either. If he wanted power there had to be a less selfish reason for it. But what?
