Stella's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe my eyes. My once tidy apartment was now filled with a sea of people. The music was deafening, and the energy was electric. This was not the small gathering I had envisioned. I turned to Sarah, trying to keep my frustration in check.

"Sarah, I said a small gathering, not a full-blown party!" I exclaimed over the thumping bass.

Sarah grinned, unrepentant. "Stella, relax! You only get one housewarming party. Let's make it memorable!"

I sighed, knowing it was too late to change anything. The place was packed with students from the university, along with some of my coworkers from the Zitti. Everywhere I looked, people were dancing, laughing, and drinking. Some couples were even making out in the corners. I winced as I saw a few too many people engaging in an intense game of beer pong, cheering and chanting.

"Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!"

Bloody hell. The place is a mess! Thank god I am the only renter on this floor, else my housewarming party would have made me homeless from all the complaints from the neighbors.

Oh my god. The gun.

I tried to navigate through the crowd, making sure to keep everyone away from my room. The last thing I needed was someone finding the gun my mother had given me.

"Hey, Stella! Come join us for a drink!" Matteo called out, holding up a red solo cup.

I forced a smile and took the cup, sipping it cautiously. I didn't wanna get drunk and lose control, god knows what the picture would look like then.

I forced myself to mingle with the crowd, trying to keep an eye on things; especially the door of my room. But as the night went on, the party got wilder. The living room turned into a dance floor, and the kitchen became a makeshift bar.

"WHERE IS THE DAMN RESTROOM?" a shrill voice rang in my ear, personifying into a short brunette who was probably one of those sorority girls.

"To the left," I signaled.

The brunette rushed to the door, only to find another brunette hurling her guts into the toilet.

Great. I'll have to burn this place down now.

My eyes wandered around the place looking for Sarah and Rei, so that I could ask them to kick these people out, but instead, my eyes landed somewhere else.

A drunk guy was entering my room. Jesus fucking Christ.

I hurried to him, my heart pounding. As I opened the door, my worst fears came true. The unknown drunk student was sitting on my bed, holding my gun.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted, my voice trembling.

The student blinked at me, his brown eyes unfocused. "I found this cool toy in your drawer. Thought I'd check it out."

My mind raced. I needed to get that gun away from him without causing a scene. "Listen, you're too drunk for this. Give it to me, and I'll get you another drink, okay?"

"You know... My ex had a similar toy in her room... she said it was better than me when we broke up,"

I muttered a quick curse under my breath as the guy tried to angle the gun at me.

"What is it with you chicks and your obsession with Guns?" he chuckled.

This is it. I cannot with this guy.

I raised my voice to command him this time, giving him an icy intimidating look that was passed down to me by my family. A look that spoke the unspoken- You're dead meat if you defy the order
