Stella's P.O.V.

It was a suicide mission. I knew. But I didn't care.

The roar of my engine echoed through the deserted streets as I sped after Kairo, my eyes locked on the black Mustang ahead. The adrenaline pumping through my veins was unlike anything I'd ever felt before. This wasn't just about catching him—it was about proving to myself that I could confront my demons head-on.

I pressed harder on the gas pedal, the car responding with a surge of power. The distance between us closed rapidly, and I didn't hesitate. With a swift maneuver, I bumped into the rear of Kairo's car, a surge of satisfaction coursing through me as it swerved slightly.

"Not so easy, huh?" I muttered under my breath, my grip tightening on the steering wheel.

Kairo quickly regained control, accelerating away. But I was relentless. My mind was a whirlwind of anger, determination, and a burning need for answers. I weaved through the streets, narrowly avoiding obstacles, my focus solely on the Mustang ahead.

The cityscape blurred past me, the lights and shadows blending into a chaotic canvas. Every muscle in my body was tense, my senses heightened. The thrill of the chase, the danger, the unknown—it all fueled my resolve. This was about more than just a pursuit; it was a test of my strength and my willpower.

As I pushed the car to its limits, memories flashed through my mind. Kairo's haunting eyes, his cryptic words, the way he had invaded my life and twisted it into something unrecognizable. The rage inside me burned hotter with each passing second. I had to catch him. I had to make him pay for everything he had done.

We tore through a series of narrow alleys, the tires screeching as I followed Kairo's every move. He was a skilled driver, no doubt, but I was driven by something far more powerful—an unyielding need for justice. The Mustang swerved around a corner, and I followed suit, the G-forces pressing me into my seat.

My heart pounded in my chest, the rhythm matching the frantic pace of the chase. I could see the tension in Kairo's posture, the way his car danced on the edge of control. He was trying to shake me, to lose me in the labyrinth of the city's streets. But I was relentless, my determination unshakable.

A sudden turn brought us onto a long, straight stretch of road. I seized the opportunity, accelerating even faster, the engine roaring in protest. The gap between us closed rapidly, and I knew I had to act. With a calculated move, I pulled alongside Kairo's car, our windows almost touching.

And then, our eyes met.

For a second, I felt lost. As if in a trance. As if there was no one in the world except for us, and this chase between us.

His expression was a mix of surprise and smug.

And for a second, just a split second, I saw something almost... human in his gaze—a flicker of respect, maybe even recognition of my strength. But I couldn't let that distract me. I had a mission to complete.

With a sharp veer, I nudged Kairo's car, sending it skidding toward the curb. He fought for control, his tires screeching against the pavement. My heart raced with exhilaration as I watched him struggle. But he wasn't giving up easily. With a swift recovery, he regained his composure and accelerated away.

"Not this time," I growled, my fingers white-knuckled around the steering wheel. I slammed the gas pedal to the floor, the car lurching forward with renewed vigor. The Mustang was a blur ahead of me, but I was gaining ground, inch by inch.

The chase intensified as we approached a busy intersection. Kairo weaved through the traffic with reckless abandon, narrowly avoiding collisions. I mirrored his moves, my instincts guiding me through the chaos. Horns blared, headlights flashed, but I remained focused on my target.
