Azlan opened the laptop and Azaina stood next to him and the meeting began.
"Is this Azlan Ahmad, Azaina's guardian I am speaking to.?" She asked.
"Yes that would be me and here is Azaina." Azlan said respectfully.
"Alright then let's cut to the chase. Azaina is a very bright student but she doesn't study at all. She's more invested in what's going around her, she is easily distracted as you have seen her reports that I have mailed you. She was a really nice student until two years ago. I have no idea what changed but she started talking back and misbehaving in the class. Her grades are reducing and she isn't attentive. She leaves her paper blank. It's like she doesn't want to try anymore." The principal spoke.
Azlan glared at Azaina, he wasn't ready for that much complaints and she looked down immediately.
"Alright then I will make sure, this doesn't happen again." He replied.
"Okay then that's aside, I have emailed you all the reports of her grades and teachers remarks." She said and Azlan nodded and then she turned towards Azaina.
"Azaina dear we will have your locker emptied and your stuff will be couriered to you. I wish you all the best."she said.
Azaina just rolled her eyes in response, she complained soo much and now she's trying to be nice, she thought but kept it to herself.
Hearing no response from her Azlan tilted his head sharply and glared at her.
"Thankyou." Azaina muttered.
The meeting ended and Azlan opened the email. He read all the grades and remarks but one thing confused him.
"Azaina in every report, there's no signature of your mum or daddy. Why is that?" He asked.
"She was busy, she said she doesn't have time for all these things and daddy wasn't my guardian." She replied sadly.
"Then whose signature are those?"He asked pointing at the signature.
"My friends older brother Aiden, he always helped me." She replied.
"Okay we will thank him when we meet him..." He couldn't complete.
"We will go there?" She asked excitedly.
"Yes my sweetheart we will go there but not now and don't interrupt me again." He said sternly.
"Sorry." She muttered and looked down.
"Ab suno, abse aap koi rule break nahi krengi, you will listen to the teachers, you will respect them, you will study nicely and you will behave. Am I clear?" He asked lifting her chin.
"Ji bhaiya." She nodded.
"Azaina ek aur baat aapko yeh forms fill krne honge, yahan pe saare subjects padhne hote hai, there's no choice." He said.
"What?" She said loudly.
"Awaaz neeche bilkul." He said strictly.
"Mujhe nahi jaana aesa bekaar school fir." She said angrily.
"Azaina aapko jaana padega, Mujhe koi arguments nahi chahiye and behave yourself." He said firmly.
"Sorry." She said. The morning incident was very much fresh in her mind, she didn't wanted to get scolded again.
"Yeh forms fill kro mere saamne, yeh lo pen." He said and she started filling it.
"Bhaiya parents mein Aazi likhun?" She asked.
"Nahi Azu, Azlan Ahmad likho" He replied.
"Kyu aapko achha nahi lagega aap parent thodi ho." She said.
