10. School

She went to the closest room which was infront of her and opened the door. She slowly tiptoed and saw her brother sleeping.

"Bhaiya." She whispered keeping her hand on him.

"Azaina." Azlan woke up startled.

"Kya hua bacha? Darr laga kya? Kahin lagi h kya? Tabyat theek hai?" He asked worried.

"Bhaiya relax main theek hun, kuch nahi hua, bs paani chahiye." She said hesitantly, she felt bad for waking him up.

"Han toh beta go drink." He said.

"Bhaiya bahir bohot dark h, darr lag raha h, aap bhi chaliye na." She said.

"Chalo baby." He said picking her up and taking her downstairs. He gave her the bottle and she drank and he took her to his room.

"chalo aaj mere paas soo jao." He said and she layed beside him.

"Bhaiya." She said.

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"Neend nahi aa Rahi ab." She replied.

"Beta school h aapka kal, uth nahi paogi." He said slowly.

"Bhaiya sorry Maine aapki neend kharaab krdi. Aap bhi thak gae honge." She apologised.

"Beta you have nothing to be sorry for. I am glad you woke me up and you can come to me anytime. Okay?" He said and she nodded.

"Love you bhaiya." She said looking at him.

"Love you too meri Jaan." He replied pulling her towards him.

"One Mississippi two Mississippi three Mississippi.." Azaina counted and Azlan looked at her confused.

"Kya kr Rahi ho?" He asked.

"Soone ki Koshish." She replied.

"Bhaiya soo gae kya?" She poked his cheek after sometime.

"Shhh." He said grabbing her hands and cuddling until she slept eventually.

The next morning came and the brothers made a havoc.

"Bhai Azaina room mein nahi h." Zaviyan yelled.

"Toh kahan hai?" Ahaan shouted.

""Kyu chilaa rahe ho?" Aahil asked.

"Bhai Azaina nahi mil rahi." Ahaan replied.

"Dhundo yahin kahin hogi." He said.

"Bhai harr jagah check kr liya nahi hai." Zaviyan said making everyone worry.

"Chalo bhaiya ko btaate hai." Ahaan said panicking.

He barged inside Azlan's room and what he saw made him awed. Both Azlan and Azaina were sleeping cuddling each other. Azaina was squished in Azlan's arms looking even smaller.

"Kya kr rahe ho tum log itni subah." Azlan said sleepily.

"Bhaiya Azaina yahan kyu soo Rahi hai?" Aahil asked.

"Usse paani chahiye tha and she was scared to go downstairs alone because of the darkness. We need to switch on some lights now that she is here." He said getting up.

"Isko uthaado Aahil, iska school hai." He said and left to get ready.

Aahil sat on the bed and caressed her face and she snuggled close to him embracing warmth from her brother.

"Azuu baby utho." He said but she didn't even stirred.

"Bacha school jaana hai late ho jaogi." He said shaking her.
