 Scott's POV:

I look down at my phone as I walk, reading texts from Kirstie and Mitch asking why I'm so late. I answer them, and run a hand through my messed-up hair. I wish I had a hat right now.I glance up to see where I am. Ugh. Just a little over halfway home. I stayed late and drove Mitch and Kirstie to the studio, so they took it home. I said they could and that I would just walk home, it wasn't that far.I stop in my tracks when I see a figure walking, more like stumbling, down the street. Great. Now I'm going to have to deal with a drunk.I continue to walk, hoping they won't notice me. Or that they weren't the kind of person that gets violent when they get drunk. Then the person just falls over. I begin to get worried. It looks like a woman, not even. She looks about my age.I reach her and kneel down next to her. She's starting to sit up, rubbing her head. She doesn't seem to be completely drunk, just a little buzzed."Who are you?" She asks, backing away a little. It's the first time I see her face, and she's beautiful. She's very thin, however, and I'm starting to get a little worried."Uh, I'm Scott. Are you, um, are you okay?"She tries to stand up, but can't. She doesn't have her balance, "Yeah, 'course I am." She says quietly, backing up a little more."I don't think you are," I answer, and sure enough, she passes out.I shrug. "That was weird." I mutter to myself.I stand up, not sure what to do. I can't just leave her here.I scratch the back of my head, and decide to call Mitch."Hello?" "Mitch, I have a bit of a problem." I say, looking at the girl at my feet."What is it?" He asks, a hint of concern in his voice."I, uh, came across a girl, and she, uh, is passed out on the side of the road. What do I do?"There's silence on the other end of the line for a bit, and then he answers, "Well you can't just leave her there. Where are you?""Uh, I'm down the street from the grocery store we go to." I answer."I'll come get you. I'll be there in about five minutes."The five minutes pass slowly. She doesn't wake up, and Mitch came."She hasn't woken up?" Mitch asks as he steps out of the car.I shake my head, "No, she hasn't.""Well, we'd better get her in the car."We reach the apartment, and she still hasn't woken up. I hope she's okay. It's kind of weird bringing a complete stranger into our apartment. I don't even know her name.We lay her down on the couch. Kirstie walks over. We were supposed to hang out tonight, that's why she's here. Guess that plan didn't really work out."What do we do?" Mitch says, crossing his arms across his chest and looking down at her.Kirstie perches herself on the arm of the couch. "We wait for her to wake up."About after ten minutes of waiting for this girl to wake up, she finally does. She shifts at first, and then she opens her eyes. At first she seems confused, and then a look of panic and fear clouds the confusion. Her eyes widen and her face gets paler than it already is.She's speechless. Kirstie is the first to speak up, "Hi! You finally woke up! Scott here," she gestures to me, "met you earlier, kind of? Well, you passed out and we didn't want to leave you there, so we brought you to the apartment. She still doesn't say anything. She's frozen with fear. Kirstie tilts her head slightly to the side, "My name is Kirstie," she points to Mitch, "this is Mitch, and you already know who Scott is."I wave of realization passes her face, "You guys look really familiar..."

Ella's POV:

I don't know why, but these people seem really familiar. I feel like I've seen them before, which is unlikely. I just can't put my finger on it. My mind is foggy, and I don't have much of a choice, so I decide to trust them."My name is Ella."The girl, Kirstie, smiles really big a stands up from where she's sitting, "Would you like anything? Water maybe?"I nod, and she runs off, presumably to get me some water. That leaves me in the room with the two boys. What were their names? Mitch and... Oh yeah, Scott."Hey there!" Mitch says, smiling at me."Hi." I respond weakly. Man, what's wrong with me?Kirstie comes back with the water and I take small sips of it."So, where are you staying?" Kirstie pipes up.I look up at her, "Um, near the convenience store that's near the movie theater." I answer.Kirstie nods, glancing at Mitch and Scott. They must know its kind of trashy around there. Not to mention I haven't paid my bill yet this month.I finish the water, and I fight the urge to fall asleep. They must notice."You can stay here for the night, if you want. It's already really late." Mitch says, folding his hands together in his lap. "You should probably get some rest."He stands up and the others follow suit. They walk out of the room before they give me a chance to accept or not. Before I can decide myself, I fall asleep.

A/N: Hey guys! I decided to start a new book, obviously. Hope you enjoy it so far! It's a kind if slow and awkward start, but it'll get better, I promise! Love you!
