We're all gathered around the beds to discuss what to do. Star said we were a hundred K metres deep. Yep. Help ain't coming anytime soon.

Everyone here has a dejected look on their faces. Can't really blame them. They can't call their families. It's not that I don't care, it's just that I don't see the point in worrying too much. Or maybe it's because they can't see me so I don't feel equally threatened.

"..."

"..."

No one's speaking up. They don't know what to say. I guess it's up to me, then.

"So," I start. "Just wanna say, we might not make it out of here, but it is possible."

Everyone looks up.

"Oh right. You're here too." Scott says. "You haven't explained how you got here yet."

"I entered the office too." Isn't it obvious?

"...you said we could escape. Is it because you're not supposed to be here?" Caleb asks.

"Right as usual. The guy said you were all targeted. But I'm not supposed to be here, right?"

"...which means you're the only one out of all of us who can actually move freely through this place since you can't be seen..."

"Right again. Since they can't see me, they won't suspect anything."

"...why can't they see you, anyway?" Julie suddenly asks. "Come to think of it, I never see you on my home cameras..."

That's Julie for you. Always the sharp one at unnecessary times.

"Confidential," I immediately reject her.

"...fine." she pouts. "You never tell me anything..."

"...back to the main topic, if I can get to the control room, I can hack their systems and set us free."

"That depends on if you can find the control room, or even leave this room for that matter. What makes you think it'd work?!" Robin screams at me. Dude, chill.

"What're you yelling for? If you've got a better plan, lay it already," I say.

"W-whe-well uh..." he stutters.

"You don't, right? So do you want to leave?"

"Of course I do!"

"Then rather than calling the plan stupid, why not help to make the plan more likely to succeed?"

Geez... This is exactly how normies in society think. They criticize a possible idea when they can't come up with anything better.

"Sigh. For now, let's relax. A good mental state is necessary for good decision making after all."

With that, I rummage through my bag and pull out a bag of chips I bought on the way home yesterday. The others look at me with surprise.

"*Crunch* *nom* Hm? What is it? Want some?"

I hold out a few chips to them. Julie shrugs and takes some.

"How can you both eat in this situation?!" Helen yells.

"Well, there's nothing better we can do, right?" I say.

"Yeah. Might as well calm down," Julie adds. "This might be our final moments, so might as well enjoy it."

"Woah. Being negative's my job! You're supposed to say there's hope!" I retort.

"Huh? You were the one saying we can escape. Isn't it alright if I switch roles too?"
