Gardens and Flowers

Roses aren't red,

Violets aren't blue,

Cherry blossoms aren't pink

And sunflowers aren't yellow.

What I see is different from others.

For in my eyes,

Roses are pink,

Violets are purple,

Cherry blossoms are red

And you are my sunflower.

Bringing light to my day,

Loving me tighter than they,

Breathing the life into my veins.

Like a gardener, you harness me.

Trim impurities and water me,

Sing-song and kiss me,

Take care of me and grow me.

I love you,

I thank you.

Please do not retire.

As a gardener leaves,

The flower dies.

And false colors slowly begin to arise.

Therefore, making it seem that:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Cherry blossoms are pink,

And sunflowers are yellow.
