Michael smiled to himself. Hed finally gotten all of his things unpacked and put away. That is, after he was distracted by; his old song notebooks and felt the need to skim through them, his CDs, feeling the need to look at each of them and put his favorites in a little pile, and his clothes, throwing a few terrible shirts hed gotten from his father's friend Nancy into a pile on the floor. She never had very good taste in things; clothes, hair, make up, men. They were all disastrous. Michael sat on his bed and picked at the hole in his jeans. Perhaps living there wouldn't be so bad. At first he moped around quite a lot seeing how he had to leave on of his best friend in the world, Luke, but now that he'd settled in a bit he wasn't minding quite as much. After a bit he decided on picking up his phone and dialing Luke's number. After a few rings, Luke answered.

"Mikey!" He cried happily. Michael laughed lightly

"Hey, Luke! I miss you" he said.

"I miss you too! How is it there? Are there any cool people? I wish you were still here" Luke rambled. Michael chuckled quietly to himself.

"Hang on, hang on. I'll tell you everything."

Calum smiled for the first time in months as he walked inside. Michael. Michael. Beautiful name for a beautiful person. His voice was so beautiful he just wished he could see his face without revealing his own. He just knew Michael would be gorgeous. His hair would fall perfectly and his eyes would be absolutely dazzling. Brown. They were definitely brown. He just knew they were brown he could hear it in his voice. So warm and tender. Only brown eyes could hold such warmth. Not like Nick's steely blue ones. Blue eyes were cold and scary. No, Michael didn't have blue eyes. The thought of Nick brought Calums mood down quite a lot. He hated Nick for what he'd done to him. He hated him for taking his sight and making him look like a freak. Calum attepmted to shake the bad thoughts away and entered the kitchen where his mother was.

"Hey, Cal!" She said ruffling his hair a bit. Calum smiled

"Hey mom. I sorta met the new neighbor" he announced. His mother smiled

"Really? Oh Calum that's great! I told you no one would say anything about your eye!" She exclaimed. Calum clushed

"That's the thing. He doesn't know about it. We met over the fence."
