And she managed to get on every
Single nerve of mine "

Aanya's POV

"The show was top-notch," Shanaya remarked, glancing over at Aanya.

"Yes, it was," Aanya replied, her voice low and distant.

Emotions swirled inside her, chaotic and untamed. They were like wild thoughts, elusive and uncontrollable, mixing her mind with a plethora of feelings she couldn’t quite grasp.

Aanya was grappling with this emotional turmoil regarding Austin—the man she had encountered in the café and loathed with every fiber of her being. Yet, here she was, feeling her nerves betray her, igniting conflicting feelings about him. Part of her craved the thrill of running into him on every street she visited, while another part desperately wished to avoid him.

“What are you thinking?” Shanaya asked, pulling Aanya from her spiraling thoughts.

“Nothing,” Aanya replied, forcing a small smile.

“Did you notice how the lyrics changed from ‘Until I found her’ to ‘I found her’?” Shanaya continued, her excitement bubbling.

“Yeah, it seemed unplanned, like everyone on his team was shocked,” Aanya said, recalling the moment in the concert.

“Maybe it was meant for someone special, who knows?” Shanaya replied with a teasing grin.

Aanya scoffed, shaking her head. “Who cares if it was for someone or not?” she said, moving forward, her irritation surfacing.

“Someone,” she muttered to herself. Of course, he was a famous violinist—charming and talented. Why wouldn’t he have someone special? The annoyance simmered within her as she quickened her pace.

Behind her, Shanaya raised an eyebrow, bemused by Aanya’s self-talk, and followed her.

Austin's POV

“I heard you changed the note, bro,” James said, teasingly nudging Austin.

“I don’t know. It felt like my mind, my soul, my hands betrayed me when I did that,” Austin replied, taking a long sip of water.

“And the café girl was there, too. She really messed with your head, huh?” James continued, a smirk creeping onto his face.

“Don’t tell me you like her?” James asked, a grin stretching wide.

Austin nearly choked on his water, sputtering as it sprayed out of his mouth.

“Shit! What the hell, dude?” James exclaimed, wiping his face with a napkin.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” Austin laughed, shaking his head.

“Are you totally nuts? Are you seriously influenced by that girl who spills coffee on you every time you show up?” James teased, splashing his face with water to cool down.

“It’s your fault for asking so many useless questions! Like I would ever like her. Not even in my dreams,” Austin replied, his voice tinged with desperation.

“Okay, okay,” James conceded, holding up his hands in mock surrender.

Austin was denying his feelings, but did he truly mean it? He didn’t know if he’d ever see her again or if he would simply brush off this stirring attraction as nothing more than a fleeting moment.

The worst part about emotions was how they jolted your mind, making it hard to think straight and often leading to poor decisions. Both Aanya and Austin were caught in a web of confusion, their souls betraying them with mixed feelings for each other. Was it anger? Mere attraction? Or something deeper—love?

Neither of them had the answers, and the uncertainty loomed over them like a storm cloud. Would they ever decipher their emotions, or would they move on, dismissing it all as a passing infatuation?
