Space Rider! Smiling Critters (OC insert)

Episode 1

(This episode was inspired by the comic dub by Cougar McDowall!)

It was another day in space with the Space Riders. Hoppy was on the floor, playing a game of Starball Catch with Nebula. Hoppy looked bored, which Nebula took notice of.

Nebula: *stops tossing the ball* Miss Hoppy? What's wrong?

Hoppy: Nothing, Neb. I'm just bored.

Nebula: *feeling sad* Do you...not want to play with me anymore?

Hoppy looked shocked and quickly went up to Nebula.

Hoppy: Wha?! No, nononono, I LOVE playing Starball Catch with you! I mean, it's just been a while since we've been on a mission, that's all. *suddenly realizes* Oh wait! Maybe the captain knows if there's a next mission coming! *gets up* Come on! *runs away*

Nebula gets up and follows Hoppy.

With Capitan DogDay, he was looking at the logs on his tablet. He picks up his drink and takes a sip while looking at the logs.

DogDay: Hmm. All the logs look good.

Hoppy and Nebula stopped when they saw DogDay nearby. Hoppy then quietly tiptoes over to DogDay and shouts at him, which made him almost spill his drink.

Hoppy: CAPTAIN!!

Nebula: Hi, Mister Captain..

DogDay: *wipes his drink off his mouth* Hoppy. Nebula. What are you two doing here?

Hoppy: I'm bored! When's the next mission happening?

DogDay: *sighs* Maybe the next time Bubba gets an emergency call. How does that sound?

Hoppy: *groans loudly* Those take FOREVER! We're Space Riders! Shouldn't we be looking for problems to solve?!

Dogday: Hoppy, the galaxy is huge. How are we going to find problems?

Suddenly, CatNap's tail wraps around Hoppy's torso and lifts her up, surprising her.

Hoppy: Woah! CatNap!?

CatNap: *sign language* Patience.

Hoppy: *pouts* Fine.

CatNap smiles as he puts Hoppy down and pats her head with his tail.

Bubba: Lucky for you, we just got a call from HQ. The cult is active again.

Everyone turns around and saw Bubba walking up to them.

Nebula: The...cult?

DogDay: Where are they this time, Bubba?

Bubba: The commander said they picked up activity in the Pisces constellation on a planet called "Phantom." I'll be sending the coordinates to the GPS.

Hoppy: OH YEAH! MISSION TIME!

Nebula: I'll go too!

DogDay: Sorry, Nebula. You can't go with us. You're too young.

Nebula: But... But I wanna help...

DogDay: *kneels down in front of Nebula* I know you do, but we can't risk you getting hurt.

Nebula: *looks down, feeling disappointed* Awww...

Bubba: Hmmm...*gets an idea* I have an idea! *takes out four bracelets* Here, Captain. You, CatNap, Hoppy, and Kickin put on these. *gives the bracelets to DogDay*

Hoppy: What are those?

Bubba: Just a little something I invented for an occasion just like this. Just put them on your wrists and be on your way.

Hoppy shrugs and puts the bracelet on her wrist. So does CatNap and DogDay.

DogDay: *stands up* Come on. Let's get Kickin.

As DogDay, Hoppy, and CatNap went off, Nebula looked up at Bubba.

Nebula: What were those things, Mister Bubba?

Bubba: Let me show you, Nebby.

Bubba picks up Nebula, and they walk into Bubba's room. He sits at his desk with Nebula on his lap, and he types something on a keyboard on the desk. Then, four screens appeared in front of the child and elephant and powered on. Nebula looked amazed.

Nebula: Woah. Are those the bracelets?

Bubba: Yep. And it looks like the captain is about to take off.

On DogDay's screen, he was at the controllers of the ship, he pushed a button, and the ship took off.

AT PLANET PHANTOM: PICIES CONSTELLATION

DogDay, CatNap, Hoppy, and KickinChicken were on their space mobiles, ready to go onto Planet Phantom.

DogDay: This is unknown territory. Stay on your guard, okay?

CatNap gives DogDay a thumbs up. DogDay puts on his helmet, and they all go to the planet.

On Planet Phantom, they look around and saw nothing but red smoke everywhere.

KickinChicken: Geez, the red smoke here is thick..

Hoppy: The whole planet is covered by it.

Everyone gets off their space mobiles.

DogDay: Come on, the sooner we shut the generators, the faster we can get off this planet, okay?

KickinChicken, Hoppy, and CatNap: Right!

The four space riders walk up to a rock and look behind it, revealing a lot of other cult members.

DogDay: Wow. A lot of them. Where's the head priest?

Hoppy then saw the priest on a rock, who looked like they were giving orders to the other cult members.

Hoppy: Over there. On top of the rock. *turns to CatNap* CatNap, do you thing while they're distracted, alright?

CatNap: Okay!

CatNap's tail then glows purple. He finger gun points to the head priest and blasts a purple beam at them. It hits the priest, making their red gem break.

Head priest: Space Riders! KILL THEM, NOW!

DogDay: Get ready, everyone!

Hoppy: Alteady way ahead of ya, boss.

DogDay and CatNap's eyes glow orange and purple as they look at each other.

DogDay: CatNap! Together!

DogDay and CatNap join hands, and they shoot an orange and purple beam at the cult and head priest, which makes an explosion.

The four space riders then began attacking the cult members.

AFTER THE CULT MEMBERS WERE DEFEATED

Back at the ship, Nebula looked starstruck at the fight.

Nebula: Woah! They were awesome!!

Bubba: *chuckles* I know they were, Nebula. That's enough action for today. *grabs the communicator and speaks into it* DogDay, mission update.

DogDay: *though communicator* Mission successful. Tell Crafty to call the medical branch to retrieve the cultists.

Bubba: Affirmative. Bubba out.

Bubba turns off the screens and gets up out of his chair with Nebula in his arms.

Bubba: Come on. Let's go to Crafty.

Nebula: Okay, Mister Bubba.

Bubba and Nebula walk out of the room, Nebula's smile stayed on her face, feeling incredibly happy that DogDay and his cremated found her and brought her onto their ship.
