I was debating on what to wear for the fourth of July. I decided on a red skirt and a white tank top and my white sandals. I decided to put some curls in my hair. Afterwards, I put a blue headband in my hair. Then I rushed downstairs to where Kylin was waiting for me in the living room.
"I'm ready!" I told him, quite loudly to get his eyes off the TV.
He looked up at me, turned off the TV and then walked over to me and smiled."You look beautiful baby girl," Kylin said.
"Thanks, Kylin," I said.
"Come on," he said. Taking my hand, he opened the door, let me out first, the shut the door behind us and headed over to the park.
I laid the blanket down in the grass I had brought with us. We both laid on our backs next to each other, talking about random stuff and laughed.
"What happened to you?" I asked him.
"What you mean?" He asked me, confused.
"Like, you act so different and and you look more like a man..well a mature teenage boy."
Kylin laughed. "Nah, I just grew up a little."
"A little?!" I think you grew up an awful lot," I giggled.
Kylin smiled. "I like it when you laugh. It's cute."
I flipped my hair over my shoulders to hide my face from him. "I don't think so..but your laugh is really adorable."
"Hey," Kylin said. He pulled me on top of him. "Don't hide from me. I love your beautiful face. You should too." That only made me giggle and bury my face into his chest.
"I love you," he said. He said it with so passion.
"I love you too," I said back with the same amount of passion.
Then right at that moment after I said those words, fireworks started to go off into the sky.
We both stood up and watched them. After a while, Kylin turned to me and said, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," I said. He pulled me towards him and then looked me in the eye.
"You know I really love you right?"
"Yes."
"How do you feel towards me?"
"I really, really like you."
"For real for real?"
"Yes, Kylin," I said, with a smile.
"Well, can I ask you something else?"
"Shoot."
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!"
"I love you," Kylin said.
I smiled up at him for what felt like a dream that was never gonna end.
"I love you too," I told him.
We sat down on the blanket. I was on his lap sitting sideways, you know how back in the old days, girls used to sit on horses? Yeah like that. I had my arms wrapped around his neck. He had his arms around my waist.
We were looking at each other. Just when I was about to start daydreaming about us going on a romantic date at a fancy restaurant, his lips pressed against mine. It was such a blissful kiss and felt so magical.
When we pulled away from each other, I was amazed at how sneaky he was asking me to come to the park on the 4th of July. But it was so cute the way Kylin planned it. And very simple. He was such a sweetheart.
"Babe? Babe, are you alive?" Kylin said, trying to get my attention.
"Huh?" Yeah I'm fine, babe," I told him.
He smirked. "That kiss blew your mind, huh?"
I laughed and said, "Yes, I didn't know you kissed that good.
"Well, don't expect just that one kiss. You got plenty more things coming your way."
