"Buzz...buzz...buzzzzzz," my phone vibrated, waking me up.
"Ugh," I groaned. I looked at my phone and was surprised to see who had texted me: KYLIN.
Me and Kylin had once before dated in 7th grade, but it ended after like 2 weeks. We were still friends, but we haven't talked since we broke up. So this was a surprise.

"I wonder what this is about," I said to myself.

Kylin: hey

Me: hi

Kylin: are you still mad?

Me: I was never mad at you..I thought you were mad at me...

Kylin: oh...and no I wasn't mad

Me: are we still friends?

Kylin: of course

Me: alright ttyl

Kylin: what's wrong?

Me: I broke up with AJ yesterday...

Kylin: that sucks

Me: ik and i don't think think I'll ever be the same

Kylin: I can fix that?

Me: how?

Kylin: hold on

I waited 5 minutes and then gave up. I cleaned my room, made my bed and took a shower. I put on shorts and a white crop top. Then I put on my white converse and brushed my hair.

I heard something going in in the kitchen and decided to find out what was happening. And when I walked in there I was surprised to see who was in there and what he was doing.

"Good morning," Kylin greeted me and set my plate down in front of me. He had fixed me a nice warm breakfast. How nice of him.

"Morning Kylin," I said to him.

Kylin sat down at the table next to me. "So, like my surprise?"

I smiled at him. "Yes, I love it. You're a true friend. Although the rest of my friends would have done this too."

"Well, hurry and eat. I got something else for you."

I swallowed the last of my pancakes and looked at him. "You mean your taking me somewhere?"

Kylin nodded and smiled.

"Where?"

"I'm not telling."

"I hate you."

"Haha, you'll thank me later."

"Whatever," I said. "Let's go!"

I threw my plate in the sink and dragged Kylin outside.
